Your the only guy besides myself I know of that took the time to wash the original carpet instead of buying new... I did this to 3 of my late 90s chevys... saved a ton of money. I have 3 of these diesels and I love em.

I would love to buy more lol. Fixing my low oil pressure and headgasket this month to get this thing back to work. But yea ive never really understood why people are so willing to spend hundreds on new carpet when its stupid easy to make it look new again

Bro that startup don’t sound bad at all, true it’s not great but she don’t sound to bad, my 96 GMC Sierra 3500 single cab 1 ton dually doesn’t have that “chatter” sound of the harmonic balancer starting to go, mine still has plenty of rubber but going to be replaced anyways as “preventative” maintenance, also you may want to change your lift pump and find out if your injection pumps electronic control module is in the valley, if so relocate it to the firewall like I did, also triple check all oil lines and do so once a month just to avoid any other issues. But still a great truck and well worth the money into it. Plus your going to get 18-20-22 mpg!!!

Thanks man yea im actually getting ready to put an optimizer block, bulletproofed engine in this truck. The engine has gotten far worse now and needs headgaskets, but also has low oil pressure

Im thinkin your truck had leather bucket seats with a center console. Nice truck by the way , i have a 93 extended cab dually. LMC truck sells a lot of parts for theae trucks.

Yep it sure did, i just wish it still did lol. Ive been on the lookout for some original type ones that aren’t destroyed. Thats cool, i love these old trucks and im glad there are people like us willing to keep them alive and running around

the turbo leaking oil could cause the engine to run away, ive seen people buy ebay hx35/hx40s to replace the stock turbo

I plan on upgrading in the future, found out its the cdr valve causing the oil in there

I tell you what I would actually do if I was you I would take a bed liner thing out because that thing will get water underneath of it it will rot your bed out and I will paint me a Rhino liner in it and that would be more stronger but it would protect your bed a lot more better then this thing right here but I am just trying to give you an idea the Savior inside your bed all of the trucks I've ever had had them in it I have pulled every one of them out they do Rust the inside of your bed and I would actually pull it out and just put a run up on her in it it will make it more stronger
