I'd go that route just easier in the long run. Mine works decent just more complicated than it needs to be. Intercoolers are definitely worth it if you are going to up the boost and tow.
@ I’ve done the air to water and air to air on my 6.5 trucks. I prefer the water. I just need to move the cooler on 1 of my trucks because I did a db2 swap with a 130cc pump and my old cooler is in the way of the throttle cable
I don't know hp or torque. But I've hit 1450 degrees ferinhight wich is prob too hot. I've since changed my turbo to a real hxw40 18cm and that lowered egts by 300.
@@306familyfarm I have a 6.5 and on Friday the turbo stopped working again. I am not sure what has happened but the mechanical waste gate actuator seems to be fine. All I know is there is no longer any boost and the truck gets super loud when reving up in lower gears.

You could put a Duramax fan on it also. That's what I didn't mine big difference on cooling.
I had a duramax fan and clutch installed.
What duramax fan and clutch setup goes right on?
I used a lb7 and it fit no issues

I don't. Next time I think I would go air to air. I think first or second Gen dodge fit with some modifications

Where did u get the intercooler and piping kit?
I got the intercooler new on ebay and a generic piping kit. And a rad. Thinking I'm going to double up on the rads tho.
So these stock 6.5s do not have a intercooler?

I had a exhaust leak on the driver side once basically lost all boost.
@@306familyfarm Thanks for the advice, I found the cross over pipe was broken right off on the drivers side of the engine.

What size is this intercooler?
Core is 4.5 × 9 × 10 inches I wouldn't go any smaller.

Not sure 300 maybe now.
stock it should be in the ball park of a 12 valve cummins but with these mods its probably around 250-300
