  • One of the best days on the lake. Luck helped to just fall into a pattern like this. Pretty happy when its a mid day bite and using hand tied baits. I know I said I had a limit and unfortunately I can't count. Still a big stringer 5@17.5"- 20" fish.

    I've been fishing Indian lake for 60 years. I even remember the amusement park. The college student riots. The national guard. ECT.

      Hopefully the weed management doesn’t change them like the crappie. Pretty tough this fall and winter.

    Would it still work if you used a curly tail grub on the road runner? I'm having alot of trouble catching decent size saugeye. I only do fish and release I'm really just trying to get my fish ohio master angler. I've already done channel cat/large mouth/Blue gill. I catch saugeye at deer creek and it's a joke. They never get over 7 inches because everyone keeps everything there it's a mess.

      I would say it would work. At Indian the weed lines are gone. Cause the weeds are gone. But should be back fall and spring. Don’t think there’s a solid technique to catch big one more than finding them

    Great day ! Looked like pulling jigs through the weeds weren’t too much problem ??

    We nail them the same way on the roadrunners! You using split shots on there too?

    Do you just let the jigs drag the bottom? Or are you off the bottom a bit?

    • @off-roadeverything5946
      @off-roadeverything5946  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just above. Running 1.2-1.5 mph. 1/4 oz on the road runners and 1/8 oz on the swim baits

      @@off-roadeverything5946 ok thanks for the info..I'll have to give it a try...I fish a lake in ohio called plesant hill that has them. The lake can range from 5 ft to 35+ ft in just a few feet from the bank...it's a very Rollercoaster bottom sometimes. But we do have some flats in the 5 to 15 ish I may try.
