Chito should get the next title shot. He proved himself in two main events, the second of which he finished Cruz with that beautiful headkick. O'Malley fought a great fight but he doesn't have the same momentum as Vera after the no contest and questionable decision.

I really believe with the way the division played itself out over the weekend he is the most deserving of the title shot. Even tho it was questionable, he beat sean not to long ago. Give him the title shot and i guarantee Sean and Chito will meet again some time in the near future regardless with how skilled the both of them are
The ufc wont put suga in there with aljo at this time. He will fight, sandhagen, chito or font. Aljo may get scheduled vs cejudo, but i have my doubts if it even happens. Aljo will crush him, cuz henry isnt really into it. He would only be showing up for a check and aljo is basically unbeatable right now. Omalley is my fave fighter, but i dont think he has a chance right now with aljo. Maybe in a year or two. Aljos takedown threat, will totally neutralize sugas striking.
I like what he said about his development, he's such a chill dude. So many guys are chomping at the bit for title shots, and this guy's just like, "I'll get there, and I'll be better when I do".

Even Chito read O'Malley's body language. He looked defeated, especially on the ground. His eyes were telling everything about how he felt. It'd be cool if O'Malley just comes clean and does the rematch.
He meant his body language after the fight. Sean never looked defeated during the fight, gave it his all until the end.

@@Alex-os5ln watch when Sean got taken down in the 2nd round, he inhaled deep, looked around like he didn't know where he was. He made the same expression like when you're a kid and you get the wind knocked out of you. During the second round until the end of the fight, he looked defeated.
He didn't even want to answer DC when asked if he did enough to win the fight. Sean is an extremely confident and stand up man, and instead pleaded the 5th. His entire cadance disappeared after the fight. He never acts like that after he wins. He was a different person, because he knows deep inside who won.

Marlon’s takes are some of my favorites. O Malleys win was a gift decision and he knew it. But that takes nothing away from the Suga Show he’s still one of my favorite fighters to watch and he looked spectacular Saturday, better than ever before. Respect to both Yan and O Malley that was a top notch battle.

I didn't know chito until O'Malley fight but it's another case of how much their life changes with the right matchup and good record up till then .

Marlon is the man I hope he gets a title shot soon, he would take out Sterling no problem. His streak and momentum is building you can see the confidence and he's always been a killer finishing most of his opponents.

I remember Dana completely dismissed Cejudo when someone brought up him fighting Volk for the 145 belt but now he's open to him possibly fighting for the 135 belt? 😂 Cejudo is clearly getting the next shot and O'Malley will fight Chito or Cory for the next title fight 💯 can't wait to see those rankings tomorrow tho

He dismissed it because cejudo first weight class was 125 and has never fought at 145! He has fought at 135 and had the belt and never lost it. Plus he probably thinks it would be a good fight because Aljo just wrestles and gets on back. Cejudo is Olympic gold medalist wrestler. Aljo probably won't be able to take cejudo back

In my opinion, not that Aljo is some killer but he's a terrible matchup for O'Malley and Chito being the best pure grappler in the division. I really don't think either are chomping at the bit to get to get that shot. I would assume Chito gets the next shot at Aljo and the UFC is hoping he takes the belt so they can do O'Malley vs Chito for the belt. I really, really don't think the UFC wants to do O'Malley vs Aljo. Aljo will 100% ride his back for 25 minutes..

I think cory was more fluid against yan but Sean is a warrior and now he has shown us he can grapple a bit aswell… would probably stay on the feet but I think that’s where everyone wants it to be anyways

It makes zero sense, he's the #1 contender and it's not in the UFC's best interest to have him fight. My non expert opinion? The next time Aljo takes a shower and he misses a phone call they're going to make a interim belt. O'Malley vs Chito/Corey for the interim, winner gets dry humped by Aljo. But, I'd be willing to bet the house that we see a 135 interim title. Aljo beats them all (by riding their backs), and the UFC wants no part of that.

It turned out that the employees of all 26 publications, like Sherdog and ESPN, gave the victory to Petr. 19 analysts gave the victory to Yan with a score of 29-28, and the other seven - with a score of 30-27.

He’s the peoples number one he’s quickly became my favorite banterweight no gimmicks
To me, combat sambo is a combo of jiu jitsu, judo, karate, pressure points, Muay Thai, and tai chi, then add individualistic freestyle elements and you have a more diverse fighter. Chito is my all time favorite person/fighter in MMA besides The Spider, however, no matter what style ✌️
Petr Yan shouldn't have left in the judges hands. He is the one who said O'Malley had no business fighting him. Guess he was wrong

Chito is forever connected to Sean O’Malley no matter what direction the kid goes. He is the only stoppage in his career…just waiting for his chance to take everything Sean has worked for at any point in his career. And he will beat Sean again. Skill for skill, when they fought, Chito was the better fighter on that night. Since then Chito has fought higher ranked, more experienced opponents. I noticed Sean was pretty gassed by the second round. And Chito, has improved his cardio 100% since their fight. When they do meet in the future. Every jog that Chito took will come back to haunt Sean. Chito will win.

It's not O'malley's fault, he put up a great fight and made it competitive by winning exchanges while standing. First round was 50/50, second was for Yan, and the third was for O'Malley.

Cejudo clearly deserves the title shot. Vera needs 1 more elite win. Yan is the best in class but keeps getting robbed and Suga clearly showed he isn't ready for Aljo on the ground.
