I’m just now seeing this. Islam was 1000% confident in what he could do to Olivera and what he could exploit. And by God he fkin did exactly what he said he would do. Don’t think I’ve seen someone predict the details in how they were going to beat a Champion and then do it exact. I admit I wasn’t some big fan of his before and I was sure Olivera was going to win. All of this put together and how he ran through Olivera, I’m on board and a big fan of Islam Makhachev!! You don't need to be a fighter to suspect that if a UFC fighter claims to be a BJJ black belt, but you seldom see him use BJJ inside the Octagon, then he is probably not a real black belt in the context of UFC MMA. LOL
Also, any fighter who gets submitted is probably NOT a BJJ black belt, UNLESS, he was KO/TKOd before the submission was locked in.
If a dude double legs you to the ground, takes your back, and then RNCs you, then you are NOT a black belt. Getting submitted (without being KO/TKO first) is a clear sign of a lack of skills. LOL
