I worked this line from The Pas to Churchill from 1966 to 1981 on the train crews. I knew most of the people in this film and they were great down to earth people.

I went to split lake with a Spence man, he’d be 70 now. Lived in Thompson, Nelson House with the Donkeys and Spence, Linklaters. Onto Gods Lake with the Bees the chief he’d be gone now unless he’s 100. Worked on rail gang, Dept of Highway, Stinco, drive Taxi to Res. Beautiful wonderful world that keeps calling me back, but it better be soon.

I lived mile 62 on that line. My father was a Forman there.
