Best in Miniature presents 11 talented miniatures in a race to build their ideal mini home in miniature! I chat with these mini reality tv stars Stephen Eddleston, Phillip Nuveen and Susete Saraiva about their miniatures, their experience on the show and heard about some of the challenges they faced when working against the clock for the win! We also heard some of the inside drama of being on a reality show while making miniatures!

I don’t know that modeling trains and planes and doing dollhouse stuff are necessarily super different. A dollhouse is a model of a house after all, and the contents are models of things in houses. My dad always did model trains, planes, and cars, and I think that’s from where my passion for dollhouses came, because they are both forms of miniatures (or at least small things) of life size objects.

@@DThomasMiniatures That hashtag went to inside edition videos. I'm confused. Or was minismakehappy hashtag just a way of saying that miniatures are happy, and it wasn't an intended link to anything? And I didn't think I said anything rudely..it was just a conversation and an insight about that part of the video.

Great interview Darren! Love the questions and it was great getting to see this talented group again. I was one of the judges of Best In Miniature and have to say it was an amazing experience! Wanted to share the great news that we just started shooting season 2! So keep your eye out for that early next year! Keep doing what you are doing pushing this exciting discipline/art form.

Omg, I love Susete’s chill vibe,& her miniatures are sooooo creative! Horror is so interesting to me in the world of miniatures,& her Bates house is incredible!

These 3 are all cool..I just now had a chance to finally watch the whole video.
It's fun seeing Phillip's modern stuff...my dollhouse is a modern family but where the family likes vintage things. so its not (or not going to be) as clean lined as Phillip's, but it will have an up to date kitchen, and things like laptops, but also with vintage style furniture and accessories, so with the potential to have some things like Stephen's.
Absolutely loved the meticulous perfectionism of your work Phillip. I shall look up your online shop. Keep up your brilliant work x
