In my humble view, hammer has (for me) some noble significance: it is probably the most ancient hand tool. Hammer was part of all constructions humans could achieve. It is also the tool of the Carpenter and many other Gildes. Hammer is the toll of hard work and craftsmanship. So it deserves some respect after thousand year of services! I never thrown away an hammer, nor any basic tools. Sometime I did refurbished some.of these! Thus, I can understand with sympathy, why this gentleman had a good time with it! Humby.

I am software engineer. I don't think I will ever get time to get into learning wood working, and metal working. This is the closest I can get to it. Thanks for sharing the great video. OLD Leather Smith here, I have found if you soak rusted metal in WHITE VINEGAR 4 a few hours you will not have 2 do so much wire brushing. I got a lot of my father's tools & this is how I got rid of ALL THE RUST. Great Video. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️🥎🙃

Well, no one can say you didn't make an ugly hammer pretty, but as a real using-tool it may have some problems: 1) Usually when a claw hammer has very stubby tips to the claws, making it hard to slip them under a nail head for pulling, it is because a low grade of steel was used in the original manufacturing. With low-grade steel, claws thin enough to be useful would be too likely to bend or break off. 2) You left an abrupt shoulder on the handle where it enters the eye. This focuses the force at this place, say when pulling a tough nail, making that a likely point of failure.

Особенно прикольно выглядит попытка что-то махнуть рубанком, но типа не пошло - напильником фигачить проще. И непонятно зачем было прыгать со щетками и ванными с солью если потом все равно пошёл в ход гриндер. Вобщем, меня, как человека, умеющего ценить инструмент такой ролик просто раздражает. Никаких лайков тут и быть не должно.

I am an Electrician by trade, even in my trade having a BFH on hand is a requirement. I love my 20-ounce Estwing hammer if anything causes an issue I have the answer 😏 Great job it looks great, better than new and think of all the history it has seen.
