  • In this video I unbox my stealth mirrors, give you an overview of the product then show you how to fit them to my Husqvarna 701 supermoto. However the installation is exactly the same for the KTM SMCR 690, and the GASGAS SM700.

    I've been using these mirrors for a couple of months now. They work very well for how small they are. Super slick design. If you are watching this video and haven't ordered any yet. Do it.

    I have these. Takes a long time to get used to them. A car in the next lane will look like it's further back but it's right at your back wheel so be careful. They look great but if there's a marked police car behind you, you won't pick it unless it's right behind you.

      Funny enough, I mention getting used to them in the video I released this morning. I keep looking where the old mirrors were! I'm sure I'll adjust quick enough. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching 👍

      Do you have any other alternatives that are better for looking behind clearly?
      The stock are obviously too shaky to be of any use to spot the law.

    Currently I'm running the small round double take mirrors. I can see what's left and right from me, but can't see a thing behind me. Not satisfied. How are these compared? Can you see what's going on behind you, or just besides you?

    • @POUSEouttatheHOUSE
      @POUSEouttatheHOUSE  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can see what's going behind you but it's quite small and looks further away than it is. It's never going to be a replacement for stock mirrors and I try not to rely on mirrors too much when riding anyway. Hope that helps.

    Does they have for duke 690r ? And is the mirror gonna block the handlebar locking .

    • @POUSEouttatheHOUSE
      @POUSEouttatheHOUSE  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The mirror doesn't block the handle bar movement. Not sure if they do a Duke 690. Go to stealthmirrors.co.uk and you'll see what's available. Thanks for watching 👍

    Hi do these mirrors allow you to see behind you properly. Cheers

    • @POUSEouttatheHOUSE
      @POUSEouttatheHOUSE  ปีที่แล้ว

      They capture everything in the mirror but the result is it all looks a bit smaller and further away. That said, it's probably best case scenario if you're after a small mirror. I really like them and they work well for me. Many other people on the 701sm Facebook group all seem to like them too. I've had no issues with them coming loose and they look nice too. Hope that helps 👍

    How are they now Pouse? For me the cost benefit analysis is price : shakes : view.
    Right now, sitting at £80, 0 shakes but skewed view (as CRF1000L mentioned) I’m a bit apprehensive.
    May just order one left hand side for the £50. But wanted to know what they are like compared to the original. I hate the look and the uselessness of them when they shake above 40mph, but around town they are good to check for tailgates. An update would be great!

    • @POUSEouttatheHOUSE
      @POUSEouttatheHOUSE  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good shout, I'll do an update. Honestly, I've had no issues, minimal vibration, good amount of rear view captured in the mirror. The only downside is the physical size, that because they're smaller, you have less to view, so a good comparison is looking at a phone rather than a TV. You get the same captured picture, but it's just smaller. That's in no way a criticism of the mirror, just what to expect if you by a mirror that's small and neat. The other thing is things do look a bit further away than they are, but then that's the result of capturing more in the mirror. One note to add, if you ride it properly, you won't need mirrors anyway as you'll be moving quicker than anything behind you! 😂 Just kidding 😉. I'll have a good look on my next few rides and maybe do a quick video update. For me they do the job, look great, and happy to pay 85 quid 👍

      @@POUSEouttatheHOUSE Thanks for this little review! Yea I think I’m just gonna go mirrorless I ride with mostly shoulder checks anyway aha. The only time I use mirrors is to check for flashing lights 😂. But yeh have looked at the mounts that retain the original mirrors but just put them down in the same spot as the stealth. But I think I’ll try mirrorless for a few rides and see if it’s sensible

    i just bought this bike last week . where do you get your upgrades from ? im gonna mount a radial braking lever brembo rc 15 , but the handguards on the 701 are bolted into the oem brake lever , so i need defferent hand guards or something . any tips ?

    • @POUSEouttatheHOUSE
      @POUSEouttatheHOUSE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No tips on the hand guards as I only picked my bike up in December so not had it long but I'll be sure to post all upgrades on my channel. Parts I've bought already are the mirrors from www.stealthmirrors.com, skid plate, husky tail tidy (plate holder), paddock stand adaptors, and front/rear crash bobbins are all genuine parts from ktm/husky dealer I bought the bike from. I got a £500 parts voucher when buying bike so bought a few bits. In time I'd like to get a a new airbox/filter, exhaust and get the ecu remapped properly but I'll run it in to 1000 miles first. Just watched some stuff on your channel, you're an animal on your bikes! Nice riding 👍
