This is awesome! Thanks for the inspiration. I have been putting off building a raised flooring for months and I’m deep in sh*t already! LOL! Good job!
That’s up to you. But I find the higher the better. More room for the dropping and it keeps all feathers and other crap down. The loft is clean and the air is fresh. Go higher if u have the space.
Thanks so much for this video and the idea. Saved me a ton. I used cheap 1 inch stock from lowes to get the 1 inch gap. This also worked out great for making sliding slat doors. Used the scraps from the furring strips for 1 1/2 inch gaps on doors.. I would highly recommend lightly sanding the dowel rods, makes life so much easier. Wish I could add pics of the doors. Thanks again!!!
@@AdrianP_loft the first one is time consuming to get the layout. After that its a breeze. Also for anyone needing a drill press for the job, Harbor Freight in store or online...$49.
I agree, but im tired of the mess and you may notice the top racing lofts in the world have raised floors, makes you think. Plus they will be on flat perches for most of their time in the loft anyway.
It’s the best upgrade I ever did. I love it. Clean once before breeding and again at the end of the season. And no more shit on the bottom of my boots 😂
Looks Great Buddy I might try your Idea in my loft after I get mine redone I all ready have 2 by 4 all the way around the bottom of my loft so I would just set my floor grates on them the only Idea I might have for you is to build dropping pans that set right under your perchs so all the heavy crap falls in to them and is easy clean up each week if you dont use them it may build up fast in those areas
I don’t like using any chemicals in the loft. Those floors should last a very long time without any treatment. They are not exposed to any rain or bad weather
It’s as good as the first day I laid them down. The absolute best upgrade I’ve ever done to that loft. I now have clean boots and the loft smells clean. As clean as a pigeon loft could smell 😂
Man if u asked in November I could have giving you 10-15 pair lol. But I can still get you few just let me know how big your loft is and what direction you want to take with the birds.
Very informative! Thank you for sharing it 🙏🏽 have a good day!
This is awesome!

It’s a game changer for sure. You’ll love it
Great job! I've been thinking about doing the same thing in my loft. I've been following you for a few weeks now and really enjoy your videos! Thanks!
Thanx brother, i do it cuz i enjoy it.
That is an awesome job they look great 👍 I'm planning on doing it this season for my high flyers, needed some tips I think you explained it very well,
It’s not hard at all and I love the floors now. Go as high as possible. I am thinking of raising it another 2 inches
@@AdrianP_loft I was planning on 3 inches high, isn't that high enough ?
That’s up to you. But I find the higher the better. More room for the dropping and it keeps all feathers and other crap down. The loft is clean and the air is fresh. Go higher if u have the space.

That’s awesome man. I’m glad it worked out. I tell guys all the time, it’s not hard just time consuming.

Good tip. And your right, once you got the method it’s an assembly line lol
Thanks so much. Building a 10 X 30 starting February and wanted to know how to do this. Lifesaver!!
Anytime my brother. It was alot of fun and one of, if not the best thing I ever did to my loft.
@@AdrianP_loft I am not a builder but I will have my person do this. So thanks again!!
By the way, is it still holding up?
@@airchamplofts3335 holding up very well. Easy to keep clean and my shoes are always clean. No more poop foot trails back and forth lol
Damn dudr, that looks really good. I know exactly what ill be doing if i ever need to change up my metal ones.
Hi, Bro thanks for informative video I'm also plan to build it soon ..........
Looks very very nice, but worth remembering that flat floors are recommended by pigeon vets as better for health.
I agree, but im tired of the mess and you may notice the top racing lofts in the world have raised floors, makes you think. Plus they will be on flat perches for most of their time in the loft anyway.
Great work man !! Dang that turned out great. That square in the middle, pure genius
It’s nice and clean. Atleast for now lol
Adrian P you did an awesome job man really
I’m new to this channel awesome videos, I’m going to do something similar like this on the new loft I’m building, thanks for uploading
It’s the best upgrade I ever did. I love it. Clean once before breeding and again at the end of the season. And no more shit on the bottom of my boots 😂
Great video. Good information

Great job thanks for sharing your idea 💡
You did an AWESOME job, I will definitely use this when I build mine.
It was very easy to do. Just time consuming. Good for rainy days.
Great job 👍🏾😊

Awesome!!! Build ,great job👍
Nice video! All Romanians understand dirty garages lol. I think I'm going to do this in my next loft.
It’s was pretty easy just takes some time. Can’t wait to install them and finally walk in my loft and not worry about stepping in shit lol.
Very nice. Great job my friend. I like them. Keep up great work.
Thanx brother Burak
Great job it looks really good. I think iam going to build some.
Nice job
Great idea for my shed conversion 🤝
Heck yea brother do it. Just keep it rodent free.
Amazing floor for our loft shout out for the next video
What's the dimension on the whole you make
I like it will make it for my small loft. You should make it waterproof will last longer
I don’t like using any chemicals in the loft. Those floors should last a very long time without any treatment. They are not exposed to any rain or bad weather
It doesn't look like oak, is it? I ask because if it's pine it's not gonna hold for long..
DAM GOOD DAM GOOD
I NEED TO GET WITH YOU AND GET THE TOOLS TO (TRY) to make some i have a connect @ Home Depot!
Heck yea that’s awesome. Wood has gotten pretty expensive lately.
How far apart are the three holes
Nice!
Nice job. Are they 1x2 or 1x3?
1x2. The cheap stuff 😂
Genius !
Awesome!
Good job and tips how
What's the dimension on the whole you make how far apart you make the holes
The dimensions will be different for everyone. I made them to match my loft space. If your loft is bigger or smaller you will have to adjust as needed
What do you use on the 1 in you have
Mike ganus, wait thats adrian. Good work you'll never go back to regular floors
LMFAO, too funny.
good Jobbbb
Should do a four year review
It’s as good as the first day I laid them down. The absolute best upgrade I’ve ever done to that loft. I now have clean boots and the loft smells clean. As clean as a pigeon loft could smell 😂
Think they're just called Floor grates!

@@AdrianP_loft wow Thanks that's awesome . Your videos got me more into wanted to get into it. How many birds are you willing to get rid of

To hard to clean for me
