It's like I'm there!
You might just be!
So nice to see a woodworking channel making projects with simpletools. To many start off like this and then all you see them using is festool that they get sent to them. Keep up the good work
I agree, or they whip out the CNC to cut out drawer handles and such. I'm trying to keep it real, Thanks for the support!
Great channel! Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! Great stuff you too
I have a friend who has a pallet company. He brought me some rejected pallet slats to use in my projects. He told me the pink looking wood could be Poplar or eucalyptus. It's highly unlikely it would be Tasmanian Myrtle as that is a highly prized and rare species of wood usually reserved for high end furniture.
Interesting about the eucalyptus! I've had a friend tell me it was probably poplar from looking at them. Thanks for watching!
My guess would be gum/eucalyptus I’m Australian and that’s my thoughts but I could be wrong
The pink/grey ones are probably Poplar
Awesome thanks, I love they grey ones, they stayed grey after planing
@@Mat_BuildsI found the same in my pallets. I think it could be tasmanian myrtle. The grain and color is a match. It's used in Australia a lot. It's also used in plywood production.
Hi, what's the model of that bench with the clips to hold the slats? great for planning the edges!. Thanks for sharing this project.
Hi, the bench is from WORX, it comes with 2 clamps and can clamp vertically or horizontally. I love the thing for routing edges or using hand planers too. Thanks for watching!
