  • Silver Saddle Appointment with the Past is an episode of an almost forgotten anthology television series. This episode is from 1952. Starring Mark Stevens, Jaclynne Greene, Cheryl Callaway, Trevor Bardette, Louis Jean Heydt, Robert Osterloh and Paul Bringer (Wishbone on the Rawhide TV series and Mayor Jim Kelley on the The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp tv series). This is a great half hour television episode with a bit of drama and romance. In this episode a gunfighter / outlaw has just been released from prison. He is on the way to try to reclaim his life, but a lot has happened since he has been away and now he has several difficult decisions to make. This is episode 27 of The Forsaken Westerns, an original TV series produced by Westerns On The Web Productions. The Forsaken Westerns series contains episodes of TV shows that were never broadcast or have not been broadcast in as many as 65 years. Almost lost forever, these rare television film treasures are now being released and uploaded. The series launched March 1 of 2017 from the www.westernsontheweb.com archive collection. This series is hosted by Bob Terry. Watch full length western movies and TV shows full episodes on the Westerns On The Web channel and make sure to subscribe.

Better than anything today on TV. I always enjoy seeing Louis Jean Heydt and hearing that deep commanding voice.

While I think this channel, and others like it, are a real godsend. I think the Gentleman, who introduces the Westerns reminds me of a certain "Twilight Zone" episode.

In the introduction text you mention Paul Bringer (who played Wishbone in Rawhide). His surname is spelt 'Brinegar'. Thank you for uploading these great episodes.

Bob Terry, not to be confused with the 1930s Bob Terry whose real name was Robert Hodges and who appeared is several Hopalong Cassidy as other films. He was born in New York City.

This episode is from 1955, not 1952, and was an episode of Hollywood Cavalcade, an anthology series at that time.

Unless a production is going full Sabata level spaghetti style fun, I have a hard time tolerating shooting guns out of people's hands.

First of all, so called "Trevor Bardette" wasn't his real name. There was nothing wrong with his actual birth name, Terva Gaston Hubbard obviously "sold out" his birth name to the entertainment industry. Most likely the change was made as the result of a Business Manager, with perceived notions of greater recognition accompanied with monetary gains? In reality, it's also shows blatant disrespect for one's parents & their family heritage, just to possibly obtain (not earn) a greater buck?!
