Storyline:
Wounded bandit Track (Paul Richards) takes refuge at the home of widow Lee Bolden (Faith Domergue). Another of Lee's house guests, Joe Cartwright, recognizes Trock as a fugitive from justice. At first prepared to reveal Trock's identity, Joe hesitates when he realizes that Lee is falling in love with the injured outlaw. Written on rottentomatoes.com
Reviews:
"This Bonanza story has Little Joe being a witness to a bank robbery. Later on while tracking the bandits he comes across doctor's widow Faith Domergue in an isolated cottage. Soon enough they're joined by the bandits, first a wounded Paul Richards with the loot and his two henchmen.
The wounded Richards keeps the other two in line only because he's hidden the loot. But James Beck and Vito Scotti are a real pair of specimens.
The character of Faith Domergue as a lonely widow with some needs is established and real.. But I kind of think that falling for Richards is a bit much." Written by bkoganbing on IMDb.com
"I dunno, I just thought this one was rather strange... Maybe it wouldn't have been so odd if they hadn't added the saxophone music throughout, but I just couldn't take it seriously. The story was pretty good; I think mostly it was the music that threw me. It was somewhat realistic that the widow, being as tough, lonely and independent as she was, would fall for the villain. He had a gentle, thoughtful manner about him that would appeal to her, and I think she could handle the rest of him. I think the romanticism was definitely a bit too Hollywood, but otherwise, it made a pretty good story." Written by Charity92 on IMDb.com

A main theme for a lot of the Cartwright adventures was doing what's right for others and whats right, period. Not just whats right for yourself. A simple ,timeless message .
Fabulous story line and always a moral to the story. Take note Hollyweird!
I always admire seeing the Cartwright guys go into defense mode, especially for someone who was outnumbered. ❤💪
That's called Plot Armor lol
Mr Paul Richards did a splendid job on The Rifleman as well playing a man named Sam Morley.
This is a time when acting was done from the heart!
One of the best western tv series ever made
Definetly! 🤠✌🍿🎬
🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🥰😍😍😍😍🥰😍😍🥰🥰😍😍🥰🤩
I agree and Gunsmoke is a close second or tie.
Andrew Drabble. One of the best episodes, a true love story, loved it. Wow, poor Joe, got beat-up for defending her, she pulled a rifle, gun on him, had to Dr. him, had to fight again a man shooting at him, beat, used him as a shield, if Pukie, were smarter he would have lost. All because he told her to kiss the guy. Great ending and acting.
@@GrjngoWesternSeries Hello, you have over 400 episodes to upload can you keep up with me 🤠 cowboy.
Such wonderful acting and complex story lines !!!! Still works today as thought provoking
We need more families like the Cartwright's loved watching them growing up still do on TH-cam
Loo..
My dream be to work own ranch
Yes we do .And it starts with you. Each and every one of us needs to do what is right regardless of self
Wow what a great episode, Michael Landon is so good looking 💗
Unusual depth, rather than just 100% evil villain.
I grew up watching Bonanza. Each episode is so enjoyable to watch. Thank you.
Great stories
Go HOSS
Some Bonanza trivia. This episode was supposed to star Adam (Pernell Roberts), but, he got sick and couldn't film this episode. So, the directors replaced him with Little Joe. Glad they did. Michael Landon was superb in this episode.
..b
He really was
That makes sense. I definitely got Adam vibes watching Lil Joe in this episode.
@@kenbina Wait a minute, so Adam was supposed to jump from the hayloft? That really seems like a Joe move.
@@torridd You're right. That was quintessential Lil'Joe. If Adam had played the part, I imagine they may have shot it differently.
This is the first time I have seen a Vito Scotti performance with him not using an Italian Accent! Great actor,no matter what the part!
Yes, I'm used to seeing him in the comedic Columbo roles.
The guy was lucky, no bleeding at all when Joe took the bullet out. :)
Very cleaver acting 🎭
Timeless
Thank you for showing these shows AND for including the original theme music!
This is another great western show: th-cam.com/video/DeF-iyNabXw/w-d-xo.html🤠👍
My first time watching this episode. Really enjoying it.
Awesome to hear that! Thank you for tuning in! 🤠👌🍿🎬
What a great episode. Turns out I did like Paul Richards in his role after all. I don’t believe that I’ve ever seen that actress in any of the movies that I’ve seen before but she’s a beautiful woman and a fine actress!!! 👏👏👏👏😍😍😍😘😘😘🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for posting! Great quality! Much appreciated!
Our pleasure! Happy you enjoyed it! 🤠👌🎬🍿
Sensitive drama in this episode. The David Rose score with the trumpet gives a touch of urban, even Film Noirish, in this Western. Many Bonanza episodes were scored with the Rose touch of urban. A fine episode, even with the formula ending.
If you look closely as they are departing on horseback at the end, you can see that Michael Landon actually pulls a string (right hand) which is attached to the horse's mane, which signals to the horse to rear on its hind legs. It was a nice touch as to say 'goodbye' while on horseback from Joe Cartwright.
Those eyes of hers. I can see why she had success in Hollywood.
It's possible to find love at first sight!
Anyone else watching through COVID-19??
No,,? I'm watching it through a TV.!
I have covid right now. Nothing like what the media makes it out to be. I know several friends who had it. No different than a bad flu. Seems to be a very small percent that really get sick.
@@suskaklapp6641 You knew what she meant.
Excellent Episode!👍👍
Awesome to hear that, thanks for watching! 🤠👌🎬🍿
Love Paul Richards in these old westerns! Thank you

He reminds me of Robert Vaughn.
This lady was wonderful in this.
Beautiful acting and beautiful lady.
Thx for commenting! This is also a great movie: th-cam.com/video/RjHZ9fltVSY/w-d-xo.html
So who was the actress?
@@AndrewVelonis Faith Domergue
Waiting for someone to say what a beautiful lady that was and really sexy.
I WOULD RATHER WATCH THESE EPISODES 10 TIMES AND WATCH ONE EPISODE OF YELLOWSTONE
Missed my lovely Adam in this episode but well done by little Joe n all the supporting cast
Joe did much better than Adam gave him more action, Adam only talked and arms folded and the occasional punch, but never like my Joe...
@@anacordoba5042Everything was better with Joe.
I Love This show
Another good episode 👍🏽
Luv joes horse
Awesome western show great actors
Another great% episode, thanks for the upload!! 😊👍
Thanks for watching! 👌✌🍿
I LOVED this episode!
Darn. This might have been a great episode, but I don't know if the widow ever got the money from the bank draft. I live alone myself, so I envy her for having a possible future with a reformed bank robber after he's served his time. This may be fictional, but I hope it works out for them.
Yes, the widow got the money because nothing was lost. It was disappointing that she never revealed that a lot of that money was hers. It would have been interesting if he had asked if she could last 5 more years without a man. Could have set the stage with him earlier commenting that she had no sugar for tea because it was too expensive, or something like that. Then she could have revealed "I'll be fine, $2000 of that money you stole is mine."
Missed out on all the episodes of Bonanza as it was bedtime hour for me according to my parents...8 P.M.
Rather a treat to see them now (😅over half a century later😊); moreover, grateful Little Joe rather than Adam had the role. Little Joe's agility in those skuffles with the bank robbers are fitting, yet he has some mature caring moments too.
I remember when I wanted to watch a new western called Have Gun Will Travel, but it came on at 9 which was when Mom wanted me to go to bed. She said I could watch it when I was older. You are lucky Bonanza episodes are available. I loved watching Little Joe in the two-parter Ride the Wind.@@sueshow401
Very nice story👍 👌🤩🤩😍🥰😘
What an excellent episode.

Wow, they kept to the script, Little Joe didn't have his guns after the bank robber dropped them into the well, impressive. This was a very interesting episode about a kind of love and redemption not seen nor experienced. I'm surprised LIttle Joe finally even after his first beating in the house giving that tall blond his good beating in the barn. Great comeback.
Why do you say they stuck to the script like it’s surprising
@@dillantrader6898 you must not have noticed the many bloopers in the Bonanza series. Lots of them!! Many of them in the house on the Ponderosa! Pay close attention to how many times the house is used for other’s homes, even a bar! And when they stand outside with the door open there’s a blank wall with a chair against it that isn’t there when they go inside. There’s many more but that’s enough to justify Mr. Branam’s comment. 😂
Thanks for uploading and sharing this old series.
Best regards luck and health.
I lo e Lil Joe I'm 😊 ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 glad they did. Home boy 👦 is getting on my nerves. Damn!!!
Thanks for uploading this episode
Thank you so much for "Everyone of Bonanza" you send and please keep them coming Please
We will! 🤠✌🍿📺
The blonde guy, he was on the episode with Joe where he had a lumber contract and wanted to prove himself without pa,Adam or Hoss helping
"The quest"
Same stove over and over again ....hahahaha
It goes to show you good camperville no matter what the circumstances are
Once upon a time in a rainy night!
Faith is so beautiful
Did old west have plastic ponchos??the other 2 robbers had them on . Hmm good show nice ham and cheeze hanging in the home
Wondered the same thing!
Lol you have to look for tire trax also it makes the show a lil more interesting 😎
Great movie.
Thank you
Leila. Maria 💯💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍
Ahh Faith Domergue
no one has been milking those poor cows...
as many times as someone disarmed them, a backup weapon would've been advisable lol.
Thank you!
Good movie
Sure was a waste of three nice weapons! Down the well?! Dang!
I thought Hoss and Adam and their father were going to show up at the climax and rescue Joe! I kept waiting for that
Joe is not a little baby that always needs to be rescued by the others.
Love Bonanza!
Hahahaaa, "...Alright, kiss him!" LOLOLOLOL!
Excelent lesson
Every single person in this fine colourful 1961 episode were now sadly all now dead.
Paul Richards played a left handed fast gun in first ever episode of Gunsmoke. So fast he outdrew Matt Dillon with ease. Problem was he fast but not accurate. Never took time to aim so his speed helped him up close. Matt theorized this so called him out from distance and killed him.
He was in rawhide a rancher he tried to adopt gil favour 2 daughters a good espoide
Fast is fine but accuracy is everything 😂Wyatt Earp
Thankyou, love to watch Gunsmoke.
But this is Bonanza, not Gunsmoke.
Ibelieve amen thank you god
Little Joes horses name was Cochise after a Apache war chief
Thank you, Captain Obvious.
Great episode!
Good episode
Little Joe u are a man of conscience sorrow
It did have Adam in it😮
And they all lived happily ever after
Paul Richards always seems to play a injured gangster or gunfighter…
I swear Paul Richards is wearing eye makeup.
I have noticed that too on this show at times. Subtle but it is there.
@@mdonahue4683 They always put eyeliner on him, in TV and film, to accentuate his eyes. He had beautiful eyes.
The guy that been shot in the shoulder, I don't know why, but maybe it's the way he talked and look that reminded me of Robin William.
He reminded me of Jack Lord from Hawaii 50 TV series back in the 70s.
@@scottbieber1731 Man I would watch that show all the time. One of the best TV shows.
Paul Richards very good actor
He reminds me of my next door neighbor from years ago. LOL
I liked this episode.

Every time they go to the bank it gets robbed!
My kisses never have that effect.

Vito Scotti was an Italian character actor who did many would say racist characters in the 50’s and 60’s. The Japanese soldier who didn’t know WWII had ended on Giligan’s Island and a dirt poor Mexican Bandit on The Rifleman to name a few. He would use fake teeth and over the top accents to get his point across.
Nazorine in The Godfather. Loved him on Gilligan's Island.
That tall white boy in that navy blue shirt he have real gun talk boy ok hm he is a serious man
I'm okay I guess I just got back into town about a at the carwash there's some weird dude on a bike just keeps circling the place
2021 Women still fall for no good men!!!🙄
Your right
HI Brenda.....I'm NO GOOD, call me.
Women do get desperate at times!!!!
Come on he wasn’t that bad. He had multiple chances to hurt people and passed them up tried to keep his partners in reign and even ended up going back voluntarily. I’m just saying. Growing up on the wrong side of the track isn’t the same as being no good. He obviously had a lot of good in him or he couldn’t have done those things.
that was an invitation. The lady was lonely. I was an old guy before I could read women.
Fantastic episode, I really enjoyed it!!!

Joe cannot fight
40:57, Little Joe jumps from the loft to go after the criminal.
Yeah, we noticed.
@@AndrewVelonis My comment is for my benefit, not yours smart aleck!
Muito bom . O brigada!
Gosto de asistir todos os filmes do Bonanza gosto mais quando o Adam esta no filme
I was hoping Joe wouldn't turn him in at the end,
In the fight scenes its been decided who will lie down and who will stay upright after punching.
When your 64 anything is serous
❤
❤❤❤❤
@12:19 At what point did Joe get his gun back? Now he's having it taken away...again?
The story has major flaws in its plot. Faith Domergue smooching and falling in love with Paul Richards is the principle one. Had the director taken advantage of the contradictions in Richards character it would have been a better teleplay. But in any event it was fun to watch and thank you for putting it on the Web.
L
Oh look bush playing little jo...
Yes he does and handsome too all them
I like the actor Paul Richards but I don’t think that I’m going to like him very much in this role as a bank robber!!!😱😱😱😱😱😳😳😳😳
Damn she didn't get the money 😫
High Chaparral
Wait I thought Joe took the gun from him.
