Really excellent story! What amazes me about dogs is their trust in their human companions. They never ask why, or how long, or how hard. They trust that you'll make the best decisions for the both of you. All the best to you and Desert Dawg, from me and my four off-roading rescue poodles.
So much is packed into this 9 minutes of film. So well shot and edited. So many beautiful and emotional scenes. A great story, told well. Humour, beauty, philosphy, dogs....it's got it all!

I wish my Best Friend, Buddy, and I could do something as adventurous, but we are both a couple of old Desert Rats/Dawgs ourselves with a number of infirmities that would prevent such an amazing time. But we CAN mosey around the neighborhood and take in the sites closer to home.Who knows? One day, perhaps, we will have as cool an adventure to talk and write about.Keep On Keepin' On, Boys!!
My Hurricane Katrina Rescue, Prusik, was my hiking, back packing and travelling partner for his many years. I wanted to show him all the beautiful places he could be once I rescued him...or he rescued me! I miss my boy! RIP 10-1-17
Ace - this was very inspirational. Having my dog Levi has made me care more about life. I have learned a great deal from my dog. I to have an Australian Cattle Dog and I was so impressed how Desert Dawg could sing the blues so I taught Levi the same. He loves to sing. Thanks again for an incredible journey. You have inspired me to plan an adventure with my dog.

Your trip was an inspiration to me, about to turn 62 in a few days. I'll be sure to tell Gus that he needs to add his own comments to the adventures, Ghengis-style. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing and heading out with my backpack for Santiago, Spain for a 40 day pilgrimage. Wish I could bring my best friend Gracie Sparkles. She's a chocolate with a heart as bid as all outdoors.
