    What's your favorite budget 4K webcam? Why?

      I just bought the BRIO, it should be delivered tomorrow. Man I did not think that the iPhone 11 would be better by that much, I mean the camera is a part of the iPhone not the whole product whereas the brio is a Camera, period! Meaning it has one thing to do and it is not cheap. It should have stacked up better, but I guess it is better than the rest as you said with a little of tweaking, maybe breaking this yellow with some teal. But great video overall man, thanks. And btw, the mic is good so that's a big plus for the BRIO. I would love to know what is the difference between the 2022 BRIO and the 2017, everything I have seen so far says it is exactly the same.

    I like like the obsbot Meet's software capabilities, I like how you didn't just focus on specs but also on the practical usage of each webcam

    Thanks for the detailed analysis of each camera's color signature and sound quality. It really helps in making an informed decision. I will go for meet4

    Sorry if I missed it but how do you use an iPhone as a webcam on Windows? Is it simply about joining the call using my iPhone or can I actually use the iPhone as a webcam via the computer while running Windows 11? Really appreciate your channel!!

      I actually did a video on this. It's using software called Epoccam from Elgato. The iPhone is superior to most webcams, but it a bit finicky to set up. Also, I would recommend using a phone if possible that is not your daily driver th-cam.com/video/mwI1GlrdZGA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CmWAeEh3_Kdg0-If

      I just saw that one tbh. Maybe 🙂. I had to pick up the Razer Kiyo Pro when I saw it was $60 for black friday.

    Did you use UVC Software for the iPhone (EpocCam, Camo, Continuity), or did you record directly onto the iPhone?
    Thanks for the excellent content.😃

    • @DeployJeremy
      @DeployJeremy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I recorded directly to the iPhone this time. I have an entire video on using the Epoccam software here th-cam.com/video/mwI1GlrdZGA/w-d-xo.html

      @motojunky1 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's interesting to see the difference in the quality with directly recording, vs using the iPhone in UVC mode with software. Direct recording is so much crisper/sharp, though not live.

      @@motojunky1 that's even true with mirrorless cameras, I did a test on that a while back, too. th-cam.com/video/YIFUq-5DDDw/w-d-xo.html The difference with mirrorless cameras (at least my Sonys) is that they are happy to output streaming video for days on end without overheating, but once they need the extra processing power to write to an SD card, they overheat after a while.

    Thank you for the thorough comparison! Which one would you recommend if I want to do a vertical livestream for 2 hours, twice a day? I heard that Obsbot generates heat pretty quickly, while I'm not sure if Brio 4K will be able to do portrait recording

    • @DeployJeremy
      @DeployJeremy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The OBSBOT Meet 4K is designed for that with the two filming orientations. I don't have firsthand experience with multi-hour filming sessions running the Meet in vertical mode, but I have run it horizontal mode for hours without thermal shutdown. I think you'll be fine.

    Hi,
    What webcam would you recommend for business calls? Should have good image quality and budget is between $100-$200.

    • @DeployJeremy
      @DeployJeremy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like the Brio 4k (again). It's in your price range and is 4K, IR camera for biometric login. Previous versions with older firmware used to produce pretty yellow skintones, but now it's more balanced.

  • @RedsparInvesting
    @RedsparInvesting 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Nice comparison i was looking for. However there is now obsbot tiny 2 4k. How does that compare as my son is saying i should buy an iPhone for streaming but that is more than double the price

    • @DeployJeremy
      @DeployJeremy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The OBSBOT Tiny 2 is a nice webcam. It depends on if you need the camera to track you or if you plan to mount it in a fixed location. For a fixed location, the used iPhone 11 Pro I compare it against here will create a better image. It's a bit more fiddling to set it up though and you probably want to use it as a secondary device versus your daily driver phone. You can get those for under $300 used.

    • @DeployJeremy
      @DeployJeremy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      One more thing. For a similar price, you can go with a proper camera and lens, budget capture card and dummy battery using a Sony a5100 or newer. That will blow away all webcams and smart phone cameras in terms of quality. I did a video on this approach here th-cam.com/video/i2wiHT1wBUU/w-d-xo.html

    • @RedsparInvesting
      @RedsparInvesting 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thx for quick feedback. As I am almost 60 I don't want something I need to fiddle with and doesn't apple stop support for older phones? I guess I am now choosing between elgado pro, tiny and tiny 2

    • @DeployJeremy
      @DeployJeremy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RedsparInvesting in that case, I would optimize for simplicity. The OBSBOTs in my opinion look best with default tuning out of the box. And the Meet 4k is simpler without the gimbal and motion tracking. Tiny 2 does has better image because of its larger sensor, but it's more than twice as much.

    • @RedsparInvesting
      @RedsparInvesting 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thx i found and ordered the tiny 4k and will return the tiny 2. At least i save 130 dollars

    Seeing this review, I get the feeling that if Microsoft or smartphone manufacturers start including webcam functionality like the iPhone, the webcam market will be completely finished.
    the 5yrs old iPhone camera is already much better than most webcams
    The smartphone market is almost 100 times bigger than the webcam market and much more competitive. They also use much more advanced sensors, algorithms, and processors.
    Plus, these are already in people's pockets!
    To stay relevant, the webcam market needs to stop cutting costs and invest in sensors and lens performance that are too large to fit into smartphones. But if they do that, they become way too expensive. 😢
    Once regular people realize that the powerful webcam they need is already in their pockets, demand will drop sharply, except for a few broadcasters.

    which camera u like to gives u the BEST 4k pic quality, brightness/darkness & easy to use?
    in here OBSBOT Meet gives a really sharp soft colorful quality pic
    THE BEST 4K cameras i know my freind bought it & saw in his house lots feathers & pic is stunning with AI feather is Insta 360 link is over $300 but is supreme 👍

    • @DeployJeremy
      @DeployJeremy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Insta360 Link is a great webcam and very sharp. As you mention, I wouldn't call it a budget webcam at ~$300. In my tests though, it focus hunts quite a bit and the tracking motion even on its slowest setting is pretty jerky and fast. If you find your spot, fix its focus, dial in the colors, and don't use motion tracking, it is pretty hard to beat , especially for its size.
