What I take from here is this: OU is in a rebuilding season, mostly young talent who are trying to figure out their strengths and weaknesses, if Texas can’t beat this team, when are they gonna beat OU again?
I was blown away when Joel Klatt said that Texas had 53 4&5 star recruits on their roster after 3 straight top 10 recruiting classes. So much talent producing a consistently poor product screams coaching flaws.
This team takes me on the biggest emotional roller coasters of my life but I think that’s just one of the many reasons I love them. It’s wins like these that remind me why I love this team so much.

All I’m saying people will bad talk Tre Brown, but how often has that guy persevered and came up with a game winning play, or a play that saved the game to be won later. So many examples I can name.
Spencer delivered some pinpoint DARTS in those overtimes. I mean, just perfect ball placement....because the TD to Stogner, the 2 pt conversion to Wease...those were very very well covered by Texas DB's...but just perfect balls. The kid is going to make some mistakes as an inexperienced player at this level....but those throws are NFL quality. Helluva ball game. BOOMER !!

Yes Rattler wasn't the best at the beginning, but he gained a lot of experience and made a lot of mistakes early which he bounced back from. I'd rather him do that now as a redshirt Freshman than later. 2) We could redshirt Caleb as long as Rattler stays healthy, and Caleb plays less than 4 games. Take advantage of that. 3) Rattler gonna be a baller this season. I see a lot of Pat Mahomes in Rattler. I feel he's gonna be hella great for us this year. In my opinion, this is truly OU's best chance to win it all in a long time. Our defense should be even better (hopefully) and we are deep on both sides of the ball. Basically every position. Baker's Senior year we had a good chance, but our D was obviously trash. No excuses this season imo (as long as our defense truly improves. I can see it being top 15 in the country and that's all we need with the type of offenses we have).
Rattler and the defence came of age yesterday starting guys like Jeremiah Criddell and Woodi Washington in the secondary fixed a lot and man did Stogner, Mims,TJ Pledger,Wease Winfrey and Bonito step up
Ugwegbu played great also he is a big dude and moving Woodi back to CB was such a good move idk why they tried to make him play safety to begin with dude was the #1 recruit out of his state at CB

Our defense is making plays to end games. The offense has got to capitalize off of those plays. But the important thing is we won! Once again the river runs red! The season has been saved! haha

Bad coaching to end the 4th, he was calling plays to just not lose instead of to win. We should of thrown the ball in the 4th and not run it over and over and give them the ball back. Our run game is not that great right now which is another point the last 3 years we’ve had an amazing run game for our QBs to have a more open pass game, Spencer doesn’t have that he’s throwing against defenses that know we have to throw since our run game is weak and he’s making perfect passes people, can’t wait to see what he does when we get our run game going again he’s gonna only get better
I was telling my wife the same thing after we got the turnover and we were up by 14. I said now we need to grind some time off the clock and just get a field goal and make it a 3 possession game. And somehow they allowed them to crawl back into the game. It is a rivalry game though, it's to be expected. OU has been letting teams out of 3rd and school bus distances for years. We are probably among the worst teams on 3rd and long over the last decade. Glad they won, but it didn't have to be nearly that close. Defense has to learn when to bring it and get off the field. They did well all day other then that. Offense is to blame some as well.

He is, our run game is awful this year which makes the throwing game way tougher because we aren’t balanced like the last 3 years those QBs had a great run game this year Spencer is the whole offense it seems as a freshman at that but he’s getting better and better and if our run game can get back to how we was it’s only going to be easier for him so he doesn’t think he has to do everything (which he really does right now)

This year our run game sucks which makes the passing game a lot harder but Spencer is still out here doing his thing I don’t think he’s getting enough credit for what’s he’s been doing with a poor run game
He's a young inexperienced QB. Defenses are going to stack against the run and make him beat them. If he shows consistently that he can win the game with his arm they will back off and play that way. Until then expect them to sell out to stop the run.

They haven’t stacked the line against only on 3rd downs like most defenses do regardless Edit (and he makes those 3rd down throws if you watched yesterday he was perfect on 3rd downs in the 3rd and OT when he had to be and in the 4th the one throw he did throw was on 3rd and his our guys hands should have been caught wasn’t on him) he has proven he can beat them if they stack against the run but it’s our run game that has to prove they can beat a team now. And when they do our offense becomes balanced which will make Spencer’s job even easier but if he can play like he is with all this pressure I’m excited to see what he’s gonna look like with a balanced offense like the previous QBs before him

OU is playing with young young players and a not balanced offense and like Lincoln said Rattler has been our best playmaker because he has because if he wasn’t making the throws he’s been making our offense would be just average just year but he’s something special and putting the whole offense on his back this year just have to understand football

As a OU fan. I don’t like how Texas scored 2 TD in 5 minutes in the 4th quarter. Defense played good in this game but that last 5 minutes of the game was not good.
OU let off the brakes and played to not lose instead of running up the score and playing to win by more gave Texas too much time and they stepped up but thankfully OU went back the the same offense they had in the 3rd and couldn’t be stopped in OT. If only Lincoln was making play calls to score in the 4th and not end the game in regulation.

The bad call wasn't throwing on 3rd down (catch the ball), it was playing for the FG after they blocked Texas'. Play for the TD, settle for the FG. 9 outta 10 when teams set up the FG, they miss or get blocked.

Lincoln Riley is the most overrated coach in the country. The fact that it took him 3 games AGAIN to get his best players on the field is inexcusable. The fact that his horrendous playcalling is the only reason this game wasn't over in the fourth quarter...he's average at best.

The bad call wasn't throwing on 3rd down (catch the ball), it was playing for the FG after they blocked Texas'. Play for the TD, settle for the FG. 9 outta 10 when teams set up the FG, they miss or get blocked.

Lincoln Riley is the most overrated coach in the country. The fact that it took him 3 games AGAIN to get his best players on the field is inexcusable. The fact that his horrendous playcalling is the only reason this game wasn't over in the fourth quarter...he's average at best.
3 playoff appearances and two Heisman winners and a runner up, on top of 3 straight top 3 offenses and big 12 champs is overrated? He has a freshman QB and 7 starters out, playing with 4th string running backs. If you don't know anything, keep your opinions as opinions.
