Instead of players accepting that Texas was going to score regardless of what they do like they did during the Riley-Grinch era, Venables-Roof's team refused to give up and accept the statistically "inevitable". Pure Heart!
Why would we want to be ranked that high this early?? Look at our history. Our history shows everytime we open the season ranked #1 or get ranked really high during the season we fall flat on our faces. We need to stay out of the top 5 until the end of the season then move up in the top 4 and handle business. Its much easier getting there than staying there.

And they basically described it as Ewers flipping around to throw to the opposite side. I had never seen the play before, but when I instantly recognized it when I saw it in this game. So glad the defense blew that up. Definitely seemed like an "Oh shxt!" moment for Ewers when he spun around and saw Downs coming at him. 😂

i remember getting blasted on a forum for saying that texas would have to prove themselves the better team again this year! all the short horn fans came at me saying texas didnt have to prove anything! and they would manhandle ou just like last year! i tried to tell them to not count your chickens before they hatch, each year is a new year and even if one team has lost every game before this one they will play this one with their best! i was even respectful "i know right!" lol and gave them props for the whipping they gave us last year and still they thought they didnt have anything to prove? guess not? hahahaha! but, lets not sleep on our laurels we need to be ready to face these guys again in jerry's world! we need to get better and keep going guys!
