    I remember as a child, our class being told by a teacher that we should all feel ashamed for what white Europeans did to the native indians. While I felt bad that it happened I felt no personal guilt at all. Yet I did feel mild anger that I should be made to accept guilt for something I hadn't done and resented the teacher thereafter. I rejected this collective guilt bullshit even as a child of 7 or 8 years. No chance I'll accept it now either.
    The left perhaps don't realise that they're creating an absolute fuck-ton of resentment in children today that will manifest itself as they reach adulthood. Then we really will have problems.

      The Fake News media's redpilling of 56 million children for a few millennial clicks never ceases to make me chuckle ^~^
      (they attacked pewdiepie, don't fuck with video games lol, these kids go to school everyday and see the same tolerance brainwashing plastered all over the walls and think "these are the same assholes that lied about pewdiepie..")

    Great video. Its impressive that no matter how much any individual claims self ownership, self sovereignty and for principles of classical freedom you get collectivistss from all areas wanting to hold you collectively responsible for things unrelated to your actual individual person. I guess the real battle is the group v.s. the individual.

    3:08 since when did "European" only mean those nationalities? "White people" in the US has included all different kinds of Europeans as well as lighter skinned Middle Eastern people since the 1800s, there's nothing new about this. And as for east Asians being labeled as white, it hasn't happened yet and I doubt it ever will.

    My personal opinion on this: There is a difference between feeling PERSONALLY guilty about something, and feeling that something was VERY wrong. Should white people in the present feel guilty over historical racial oppression/injustices? I don't think so. We are NOT our ancestors just because we came from them. We have our own minds and emotions. Should white people feel that historical racial oppression/injustices were VERY wrong? well that I think goes beyond the color of someone's skin; I think any decent human being regardless of race or ethnicity should see slavery and other forms of historical racial oppression/injustice as Very wrong…I mean, c'mon, its an essentially human thing to see that that shit was beyond uncalled for. If someone doesn't see historical racial oppression/injustice as Very wrong, then how the hell can he or she even call themselves human? (And, just to clarify: Im assuming, of coarse, that the white people in question are not presently engaged in any sort of racist or unjust activities or biases. If they are/were, then they should perhaps feel responsible/guilty…but not for anything beyond their own part in racism or racial oppression in the PRESENT era.)

    As much as I consider myself an individualist, I also understand that culture is extremely important. An individual without a group and culture will feel miserable. I'd rather choose my group than be forced into one, but I would rather be in a specific group than in no group.
    Also, I see how caps are filtered here.

  • @jepppejeppe
    @jepppejeppe 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    If one talks about individual freedom then the other side of the coin is individual responsibility. People who talk about minority rights are not willing or too stupid to see that on the other hand croup responsibility can only lead to catastrophe.

  • @kavolis

    The only land in North America that was bought from the Indians in a freely negotiated and voluntary manner are Manhattan and the state of Rhode Island. I suggest that land owners everywhere else owe a hell of a lot of back rent to the descendents of the original owners, quite a few of whom were forcibly driven off their land and out to Oklahoma about 150 years ago.

    Well, the fact is there are still Native Americans in small reservations - they still exist right there. And the fact is, they are given land especially because they have the ethnic ties to it. Now ultimately one sees that and feels guilty, wants to give them back all their land (which I think we probably ought to do) or ultimately one sees it and believes that in time such things might as well cease as it troubles social upkeep. Now, I think you ought to do a video on what you think should become of reservations, if you what you explicitly say about the individual trumping the collective is true.

  • @ericjohnson7234
    @ericjohnson7234 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is an old video, but I will still comment as its still relevant. I'm not guilty for something I myself has not done.
    I have no "white guilt" as these people claim, and I am proud of the actions and accomplishments that my racial group has committed, the achievements we have made as well as those we will make in the future, is nothing to be ashamed of. Especially when I see pictures of say Africa where there are OPEN AIR SLAVE MARKETS, selling HUMAN BEINGS, for profit, or malnourished people walking around in rags, or Chinese people who are being KILLED AND HARVESTED for their OWN ORGANS, is a farcry from what the west has managed to do, ON ITS OWN, there are many other groups with their problems and dont get me wrong Europe still has problems of its own, that will need to be addressed but that doesnt deter me from saying we have come a fantastic way from the old world we know through written acounts and oral histories, and have a long way to go. No We have done a great job, hopefully will do so in the future going forward.

    While I believe thinking-people of any ethnicity see people as individuals, I acknowledge my cultural imprinting has biases via conditioning. Seeing individuals as unique expressions of divine intelligence (whether awake or not) I practice, and at the same time (when I am awake & conscious) I observe my mind. Sometimes I see my conditioning in bigoted thinking, hypocritical thinking. I probably didn't explain this very well. Being conscious allows relating to others and the world newly w/o bias moment to moment.

    I remember the civil war . . . some 150 revolutions around the sun ago, they were some tough times . . . there will always be slavery; ideals of centuries before . . . within the power of today!
    I just make up my own power . . . Let the emotions fly off you like the dmt of the universe. Death will always approach from the side of dark gravity . . .
    The problem from which slavery starts from should be addressed . . . It is like bad poetry from the people within leadership roles!
    And my back still creaks from moving north through the idle role of freedoms gain up to the Canada.
