Youngster..I..as 70 yr old Hunter ..love your videos..you do a great job putting a personal touch into your videos..At 70 ..I’m still hunting squirrels in the fall..then on to deer hunting for me..going for number 81 on whitetail bucks here in Michigans North woods this fall.
fellow Washington hunter here, love your videos. hopefully some day I'll have the honor to cross paths with you and shake your hand and thank you personally for the hours of entertainment while I'm on my lunch breaks. ha ha
I grew up small game hunting with dad, mainly for squirrels, ga hawk. After moving away from my parents I've done done it a few seasons here with friends and now it's just a memory. I would love to go back to do what you do but I hate doing it alone sometimes. Love your content and editing skills!!
I have notice after watching you videos, that the squirrels in your area compare to the squirrels in Wisconsin are slightly different in body size. The squirrels there are more elongated with longer limbs. Here in Wisconsin, the squirrels are more thicker with fur and have shorter limbs. Must come with the territory.
Samong a advice for future squirrel hunts, don’t hang any dead squirrels on your packs. Other hunters might mistaken it for live ones. There are people out there that will literally shoot a squirrel off your head. Be safe and hunt safe brother. Love the videos.
@@Pokingthebear999 It taste kinda like rabbit if you've had that or the old taste like chicken kind of...it's a light meat but not white like a chicken. It's super lean
When a squirrel was treed up on me. I would carry a 100 ft of string and tie one end of it to a medium size bush that will make a lot of noise and rattling of the leaves when i pull the string. Then I would walk to the other side of the tree and wait 10 minutes or so and let the woods quite down again. Then I would pull on the string and rattle that bush and that would usually make the squirrel go to my side of the tree giving me a chance to spot it. Good thing about squirrel hunting is they pack out easy. Good luck on bear hunting.
Grew up in the Midwest squirrel hunting, now live in western Washington. What part of this state has grey squirrels? Can anyone recommend any particular national forest?
Just wondering, when deer or bear hunting, do y'all ever use some kind of tree stands? We always preferred climbing tree stands wether deer or bear hunting! Just asking! God bless and keep y'all safe! 👍
I got a question I’m a new hunter just got my big game license and some tags but I don’t know anyone who hunts do you think I should take the risk and go to rimrock Washington by myself or find someone and how do I find someone?
@@SamongOutdoors Thanks a ton for responding! Enjoy watching your videos! I have hunted the Trask unit in Oregon for 20 years. Love the coastal woods. Blessings to you and your family. :)
What part of the regs are you looking at? There is no season that opens the 10th that I'm aware of. North Central Oregon opens the 15th and the rest of the state opens September 1st.
Another great video with one of my favorite young men and his family and friends. Fishing, small game or big game Samong makes good videos for any age of hunter to enjoy. Thanks again for sharing your adventures and good hunting to you and yours this fall. 💪🏽🎥💯👍🙏🏻
