- If you have a PC, it is very vital to learn how to backup Windows 10! Backing up windows 10 to a external hard drive or USB is not as difficult how it sounds, in this guide I will simplify on how you can protect you precious files such as your photos, videos, work, projects and so much more. In order to backup your drive, it is very important to have the storage capacity to be able to do so. To find your storage capacity simply go to your file explorer-- )This PC and from there you can see how much storage that you need, for example if you have 220 GB stored on your drive, purchase a drive that will have 250 GB to your maximum capacity of your hard drive. What I would personally recommend to do is to purchase the same size storage capacity or more as your (C:) Drive.

How do you restore the image files
Is there any way we can back up Windows 10 with the OS and installed software when the USB ports are blocked on the PC?

Hello, I just got a New Seagate external drive for my MacBook as. Christmas gift. I'm wanting to store videos on it.
For the life of me I can't get the external drive to cooperate with the MacBook.
Could you please tell me what I need to do?
Hey the drive will more than likely have to be converted to a exFAT drive as you probably have it as a NTFS drive, from there you'll be able to write videos on your ext drive 👍
does this backup applications like vscode , mongodb, etc or would you have to reinstall them

it's necessary for a restoration for your system image especially if your windows is corrupt

“The system image was created on BIIOS and this computer is using EFI”.

You lost me at 3:20. I just want to transfer Windows 10 from an HDD to a USB. Then install a new SSD and transfer Windows 10 from usb to the new SSD

I am lost too in this video..I thought he was going to do it on an external hard drive, but he did it on an internal hard drive.
same concept but install the image in an external drive, there will be another video coming out which will be a much easier process than using Windows and is also free
@@mistermix3516 it should be the exact same process just picking the different hard drive
Because of that same drive size requirement, you are severely limited in creating a system image! For example, you will be told the image was created correctly, but you will not know if it really worked until you try and restore that image. But that's not when and how you want to find out that you're screwed, or not! Another show-stopper is if you don't delete any & all system restore points AND turn off system restore, the image backup will also fail! Finally, this image creation can't succeed unless that's THE ONLY TASK Windows is doing! Macrium Reflect conquered all this and it allows you to do live (background) backups! Also, Macrium documents their process where Microsoft, mysteriously, does NOT!

working on another video that'll be better than windows backup also is not for windows restore as that is a whole entirely different process
