Great video and update, weather not good but always good to get away, don’t see many of those vans around, good to see you are keeping yours on the road to turn a few heads
It's always nice to be in Cornwall, even in the rain. Did about 700 miles in it, mostly motorway miles! It didn't miss a beat during the journey. This year will be getting more of the rust sorted but I've got a few other plans for it. Thanks for watching.
Awesome trip Alex! I like the van caddy! There are live cams on you tube of Cornwall we watch them sometimes.. You guys have beautiful scenery but the roads look a bit sketchy. Thanks for bringing us a long..Take it easy Buddy!
Cheers, we watch them too! The Aspects live cam is a good one as it shows all our favourite places. The idea was to retire down there but prices are through the roof so that's more of a dream than reality, it's always nice to dream though😁
Great trip Alex. Thanks for bringing us along that was some fantastic scenery. I love the town. Your Tea catty looks very nice, is the wood Mahogany? Sorry you are having so much trouble with your car hope all goes well. The streets are a bit narrow for me if I was there I would have to let you drive.
Its like our second home down there, we normally park on the outskirts and walk in but it was so quiet. It gets huge volumes of tourists since covid lockdown and they bring their huge SUVs into these places, the locals really hate them. I've no idea what kind of wood it was, my dad was getting rid of loads so I had it off him, I know what pine looks like but that's it, I'm pretty clueless really. The car is at that age where everything starts to wear out, bit like me, gave me a good excuse to take the little van on holiday, the wife prefers the car as she falls asleep in it when we're on the motorway.
It is when it's off season, during the summer it gets clogged up with idiots taking their SUVs into the harbour despite out of town parking but that's life. It's our place to go and de-stress.
@@Dancing_Alone_wRentals I'm missing it already! Sorting sheds out today and working on some future projects, the wife made me do things in the house but she's gone out now!😁
@@Bloodshed.restorations....ahh, she is away....If you take and get her slippers ready an maybe a warm cup of tea....she will be happy the rest of the weekend and you will be free for shed fun. .......Unless of coarse she forgot to tell you she had husband cameras set up and one points at the shed. If she compares that footage to the broom closet where the mop and bucket was......there could be a spanner in our plan. ( Spanner in the plan is all I'll suffer....vs the spanner against the head.... Be careful!)
I didn't notice it, believe it or not, we normally drive into the villages and towns but it was so quiet. We get fed up with all the idiots in their massive SUV's blocking up the roads.
Oh man. I live in Kernow. We could of had a Suzi Carry photo, yours (nicely converted) and mine (conversion not yet started). Finally bought it just over a month ago. I've not watched the video yet, but are you planning a future trip this way?
We've been holidaying down that way for about 20 years now and try to visit a couple of times a year but this is the first time for the Carry, the wife wasn't sure it would make it but I knew better. It's a long term project but dealing with the rust will have to be a priority now. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
@@kinhelfa whereabouts in Cornwall do you live. We are creatures of habit when down that way and generally stay around St Ives/Helston areas. I've got an email address attached to my channel and you're more than welcome to contact me via that too👍🏻
St. Austell, or St. Awful as it is becoming more commonly referred to. I am happy to drive to meet you, seeing as you will already have travelled more than a couple of hundred miles to get here. I'll find your email addy and drop you my contact details, Alex. Apologies for the delayed response, am holidaying in SE Spain at the mo.
@@kinhelfa no problem, we like to stop off at Charlestown quite often when we head down. Probably be down that way in July or September, unless I win the lottery, then it would be ASAP! 😁
Thank you for doing your bit on the beach. Very considerate, wish more were like-minded❤
I think we all have to do our bit but not everyone thinks the same.

Nice glimpse of a cheeky wee Rascal pop-top at 11.25, as you approached The Mousehole. We're you tempted to have a nose?
