Amazing video, Bailey! We're always working on improving our platform, and adding additional features that help with print on demand, and digital businesses.
@mydesignsio I was just wondering ,do i have to use your POD or can i just send my finished mockup and design to my Etsy and sell it myself? POD just eats into my profits ,plus I already have inventory, I have been doing sublimation for a while. Thank you
You can use --ar 93:82 in Midjourney for tumblers design. And for tileable images, you can just duplicate the same image twice and that avoids the problem of stretching.
Great video and comparison. Thank you. I too use all three. Well I did. I cancelled Kittl due to the daily credit thing. I will resubscribe if they change it.
I agree MyDesigns is the best one. They are supposed to come out with updated Canva editing tool no extra charge. I also like Leonardo ai is just as good as mid journey with more customize options. Kittl now ranked lowest with terrible new ai credit system and neglect of their long time customers.
Busted with Kittl now. The day after I wrote them while using my Ai credits, I kept getting error messages and server errors- coincidence, Maybe, which took my work and told to try back later, which I screenshotted all of them. I do make a 9 bundle pack for the most part each day to sell on Etsy. Since, I started one month ago, I have been filling my shop regularly. They haven't gotten back to me by email which they say they will within 24 hours. And today I couldn't get enough images to make a 9 pack bundle. They add odd color code at the bottom of an image, that you obviously have to delete. Etc.
Thanks for this. Just starting so learned a lot. Was playing around with wraps generated on Midjourney then taken over to Mydesigns to do the mockups and export after watching one of your other videos. Found on their product page a recipe of --ar 95:81 for their 20oz tumbler. This seemed to work well without any fiddling. At least as far as I could tell from the mockups.
Just thought I'd let you know Midjourney can produce images that resize to 2970x2460 at a near 1:1 ratio without stretching. The aspect ratio is 99:82 and produces images at 1200x992 pixels. The resize is 2.475 and 2.479 respectively.
I agree. I would rather spend the time editing after the fact and produce really striking designs. Often times I work on AI generated images extensively to make it where I like it, or combine my own elements with elements of AI. I can see the value in quantity quickly in the beginning to get sales started; after that I want to step back and work on quality more than quantity. I may not make as much money, but it the way I work.
Hi Bailey, that was a super helpful video, thank you. It answered some of my outstanding questions. I'm just starting out and am looking to have two sites on Etsy, one for straight products (which was my original idea to sell 100s of French papers I've accumulated over many years) and after discovering Midjourney, one for digitals totally unconnected from my "real" products. I have a question, which may or may not be silly, my brain is fried trying to learn all of this and a bit overwhelmed with the amount of work all of this is going to take to get going, I'm assuming I could use MyDesign to upload my French paper non-digial products? I assume I'd have to photograph everything and put the photos into separate folders on my computer and I could upload them to MyDesign and bulk upload them from there, rather than just loading them one by one into Etsy? Or would that be a waste of time putting it into MyDesign if I can just load straight to Etsy direct? Just wondering I guess is MyDesign only for digital or can be worthwhile for both real products and digital products?
You're welcome! I'm actually not sure if MyDesigns can be used for Etsy for products other than POD or Digital, but their info page should say or if not, their Support :)
Thanks Bailey! I use all 3 but I love Mid Journey and tend to end up using it more than the other 2, I guess since that was the first thing I started with.
Hi bailey, im using midjourney but having trouble removing background especially if watercolor design. I tried PS to remove background but sometimes it doesn't end up the way i wanted, some of the details are removed. Do you have any recommendations for background remover?
Thanks Bailey. For marketing do you promote your shop in other platforms or just within etsy using their ads.? If other platforms can you tell which ones the best to use pls
@digitallypurposedbailey I was wondering ,i believe you were in Kittle, when you set the page to 9.3 x 8. at 300 dpi does that mean the design you make will be 300 dpi when you make it that exact size? So you don't have to upscale your design ? also how much do each of these programs cost, because that plays a big role in my choice.thank you for this great tutorial...
You'll still need to upscale your generated AI image within Kittl. I mentioned the pricing I am on, but please visit the individual tool's pricing pages as these are always subject to change.
so do you still do the tumbler mockup with the bulk mockup in photoshop now or use mydesigns mockups instead? unless the mockup file you were using in photoshop works with mydesigns too then guessing you are just doing that?
The irritating thing about Kittl, though, is the crazy blobs they put behind all images in watercolor. If you remove the background, you lose some of the image. Have you talked with Kittl and mentioned that customers don't appreciate losing credits daily?
Usually, I want the watercolor splashes in my designs for the most part, I would just use the graphic design option instead for something familiar. As for the credits, someone in the comments mentioned they are in the process of implementing the ability to roll over, but other than that I don't have further info on that.
They keep asking me to rate various things in Kittl when I'm working in it, so I told them quite bluntly how bad the background removal has been since they made it automatic for the clip art styles and then turned that off because it was terrible. Hopefully they'll fix it soon. Currently I take mine to photoshop and manually remove the background. PS has a background removal thing, but I don't trust it. lol
I have expert Kitty plan. They are not grandfathering people in and lowering credits by 75%. Kitty customers pissed. Also background removal isn’t good. I wouldn’t recommend them. They are not listening to its loyal customers.
@@aeli999kittl background isn’t good. I have to take to photoshop also. Best feature kittl is vector graphics and fonts. Not strong design tool compared to others.
Thanks for your video! Question... is there any way to create a seamless design without photoshop... i have a tight budget sadly... if not no worries... just thought I would ask
Photopea can do it but I run into issues with it creating random objects for the seam (like a paintbrush). You can find Photoshop for $10 a month if you Google it. You only find this price if you search.
I've been playing around with Kittl and (so far) the images look horrible...not cute at all like yours :-( (I used the exact prompts.) Any tips for newbies?
How do you feel about Kittl now, with the announcement they will be changing their credit system? I went ahead and invested my money in their pro plan. $120.00 a year 30 credits a day. In September of this year. December 1st they will change the plan to 200 credits a month. I feel they are taking away 700 credits a month this way. Am I seeing this wrong?
For some people the new system works as they were not using them all daily, and some it will hurt as they were using them daily and the cut per month is drastic. I think it will vary based on how much you were using/not using the credits.
@@digitallypurposedbailey Yes, I am waiting on their reply, which they say they will get back within 24 hours. Actually, after rewatching this video this morning. Whether it's a bank, a phone company or this. Thank you for your patience.
Just an update... Kittl is changing credits for the pro plan from 30 per day to 200 per month… we can do math…so they’re changing it from 900 credits per month done to 200. What a joke. If they are going to reduce the AI credits by that much, the cost of a plan should also go down by that much. I will be canceling my subscription soon and looking for a reasonable priced AI image generator. I’m not gonna pay this price monthly for a sub par image vectorizer and some clip art… They have a cool concept but they are being greedy. Good luck on their new business model.

Hey Bailey! Just want to let you know but they said Kittl is actively working on allowing us to roll over our credits. Idk when, but it's coming!
Oh that's great, hopefully they do it soon than later!
They should have done that when they introduced their AI 🥰
I see on their site Kittl is changing their AI credit structure/cost pretty drastically December 1st.
I heard they are not rolling over credit and lowering 75%. Got a letter from them. Pretty bad 600 and 200 credits. From 2400 and 900
