    Call takers and Dispatchers never receive the credit they truly deserve. I for one thank you. They are the lifelines for so many everyday and in unbelievable conditions. Please, don't forget your mental health as you help others. Its ok to get help. Stay safe.

      So true 👍 they also have a hard job and deserve recognition. I definitely wouldn't want to do that or a paramedics job. But I have so much respect for them. 🎉

    If you are needle phobic if you have been stabbed your health is more important so just look away and if the paramedics or medical person needs to insert a needle let them and just look away

    • @Serenity_yt
      @Serenity_yt 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can try and explain but sometimes you just need to wait and be ready when the problem "resolves itself" I.e. they're unconcious. The most bizarre patient with "needle phobia" I've ever had was in severe anaphylaxis and refused I.v. access but did agree to adrenalin into the thigh which fyi is also done with a needle. Most often though you can get to an arrangement and do it or give meds in another way.

      True phobias are not logical, that’s what makes them a phobia.

    • @SnowPink90
      @SnowPink90 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      My dad was born in Glasgow and talking to him over the years and talking to his cousin over the years, they were always carrying something in their pockets. My mom said when her and my dad used to walk arms around each other she would just put her hand in his pocket to rest it and one day she got poked by something and it cut her and here it was a knife. And that’s in the early 1950s. I think we had a time that we quit doing that stuff but now it’s picked right up again and I think it’s a lot worse.

    The main hospitals are worth every penny. It's the local surgeries that need to be investigated and shut down and reopen with all new staff that actually want to help people back to work instead of the opposite.

    The ignorance of the woman saying children are born with a clean slate; bipolar & schizophrenia are genetic often.. even describing what’s happening can take years to communicate. It’s saddening that so many don’t even end up diagnosed until they wind up in the prison system.

    • @motionless_horizon
      @motionless_horizon วันที่ผ่านมา

      Same with OCD, ADHD, and ASD. They all have genetic components. ADHD and ASD are literally developmental disorders that you’re born with
      I have all three, and had symptoms very obviously since birth, but wasn’t diagnosed till my 3rd attempt at 16 in 2021, because “females don’t have autism”

    Why do they show really interesting calls like the kid being hit by a car from the call center, but then switch to the field with like... paramedics going to an old person who can't get up from their chair? Show the intense and interesting stuff, not old people doing old people stuff!

    • @pennylane8936

      Maybe those people didn't give their permission to release the footage or didn't want to be filmed?

    • @motionless_horizon
      @motionless_horizon วันที่ผ่านมา

      Either the crews on scene didn’t have cameras/aren’t part of the show, or the people involved didn’t consent to their personal emergencies being put in the show for the world to see

    • @crispychrissy
      @crispychrissy 22 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@motionless_horizon They blur people all the time who don't want to be filmed, don't get why they can't do the same thing. And I'm sure not every single person who has an interesting injury or trauma refuses to be on camera, they just chose not to show it.
