Will keep a look out for it. I am almost ready now to apply my EVO to my very patient Astra. Been a stop-start affair regarding polishing ect. In that regard, I take it from your comments coatings like UK and EVO plus its professional version you have applied to Audi's are still top dogs with respect to durability, gloss, water beading and sheer looks??? I wondered if you could say use Can coat or this Lite version as a topper over a premium coating. I guess that would actually or possibly diminish the original coating???? What would be your favourite topper after coatings???? I ask this because I was not sure the difference between Nova Jet, Lusture, reload and this new Bead maker they are squawking about. Maybe i missed it in video but how is the storage life of that coating in open bottle? I assume i would use 10-15% of bottle on my car, and then after 6-12 months i need to re-apply it. What would happen with the rest of coating in the meantime? Another question. What is the process of reapplying it again? Do i need to polish my car again or i can just do decontamination?
I’m still slightly convinced that Gliss is superior to this protection wise. Gliss v2 offers 12 months durability, less dust retention, and 115 degree water contact angle. I’m interested to see something is applied as spray on wipe off. This seems to take as much time as Gliss to apply and remove.
i do just a essence and then regularly hydro2/lite/shampoo ,and it looks and works good.. lite will be another level... question--why reload to be put early on cquartz? why not hydro lite for example.......
Some a sealants can cause issues if you put them over a coating before it’s had time to fully cure. Reload seems to be safe in that respect, but I’d tend to say to wait at least a week or two before using Hydro.
I am one of the lucky canadians who got Moonlight and i Love it. Does this compare to Moonlight Sandro ? Thanks and great video as usual ! Greetings from Quebec, Canada !
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing What will be your recommended process when reapplying Cquartz Lite? I assume the 2nd application will not bond as good as the 1st without polishing or decon first.

Hey Sandro! This just hit in my market today and I have it in my cart but was waiting to purchase. Now I can purchase! Thanks for the review. This stuff is amazing too me. I’ve never used a coating of any kind on my cars...only sealants and then a Wax. Is there anyway or combination I can still utilize my AngelWax Ti-22 and AngelWax Enigma Wax 🤞🏽 Thanks again for your helpful and informative vids!
hi great video, very detailed and informative. one question if you don't mind. You said that you wouldn't recommend putting on windscreens with wipers but you put on the rear window which has a wiper. did you just mean you recommend not on the windscreen?
Thanks for the video! Bought myself a bottle after watching your demonstration. It is my first time using a ceramic coating product, have been using wax and sealants on my daily and weekend cars. Interested on the lite version because I enjoy detailing my cars once or twice a year. I thought I did a good wipe down on excess after the application, I left the car to cure overnight in the garage without applying reload, the next morning on inspection I saw streaks in some areas which freaked me out! I followed the instructions to apply the coating in these areas then wipe off, it really blended in and the streaks are now gone! Should there be a need to apply spray on sealant after washes? Have some hybrid ceramic wax handy. Wonder if doing so would increase or decrease the coating performance.
Great video. I’m about to apply a protection product to my car that has been recently painted. I’m trying to decide if I should go with the Angelwax Enigma ceramic wax, CarPro CQUARTZ LITE as shown in this video. If I go with the CarPro CQUARTZ LITE, when it comes time to re-apply, is it necessary to compound/polish the coating off to apply a new coating (LITE), OR can it be applied over the first coating of CQUARTZ LITE? I plan on refreshing it from time to time with Reload, and the Elixir Quick Detailer. The car that I want to apply this to rarely sees drives in the rain and is garaged kept.
Hey Sandro quick question for you mate, if I already use opti-seal at every other wash and optimum car wax every other wash, would this be a noticeable upgrade for me?
This product (CQuartz) claims a durability of 6 months whereas ceramic sprays like Turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray claims 6 to 12 months. Turtle wax is so much easier to apply and it's cheaper. I'm so confused. Which one is better?
Just because a brand claims something, it doesn’t mean it’s so 🙂 One of things I’ve always appreciated by Carpro is that they tend to under-promise but over-deliver. Based on testing both products, I would be extremely surprised if the Turtle Wax lasted longer.
Super video, and hugely helpful Sandro. When you say an hour or two between coats depending on conditions, are there any tips or tricks to know when it's ready for a 2nd coat?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thank you so much for the very helpful response. I think, considering my (lack of) experience I'll leave it at one coat on this occasion, and top up with Reload.
Merry Christmas!! Great video. Bought it after watching your video. Watch many times over. Some how my climate is too hot. Flashes so fast that i can only spread out over 1x1 foot. Problem is that it is so tacky to buff. Any tips? Tks
Hey Sandro, Thanks for yet another great vid. Brand new to detailing and just ordered all the products for a decontamination based on your “how to prepare your car paint for waxing and polishing” video as well as a bottle of Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Made the "mistake" of watching "The insane detail" series and now I'm obsessed with the thought of a ceramic coating (that water beading mate!!!). Do you reckon trying to apply something like CK lite maybe with a regular top up of Carpro reload or Nova Boost would be taking on too much at this stage or even be incompatible with SRP? Car is a Mazda (which you pointed out in your Mazda 6 vid has super thin paint) and is parked outside here in Aus. Thanks mate. Cheers
My pleasure mate and glad you’re enjoying the videos. I think that for someone new to detailing a basic wash and decontamination process followed by SRP is a fantastic way to start and I wouldn’t personally recommend using a ceramic coating just yet, and yes SRP won’t be compatible with a ceramic coating. You’re going to learn so much by just doing that to start with and the car should look fantastic without taking on too much. You could however use a spray sealant/coating like Reload, Jet over SRP if you like even after the first next wash to give the paint some improved protection and water behaviour.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks a lot mate!!! Much appreciated!🙏🙏🙏Will get myself some Reload then & keep checking out your videos as I wait for the parcels to arrive. Congrats on the channel! Your work and videos are top quality mate. Have a good weekend 🍺 Cheers
as a business owner I am really keen to see the price its a big bottle and with only giving 12monthes if i can get it down to $20 car then I could make some money off of this
Great video. For the price and what I need to do I don't think this can be beat. Have my mustang and wife's traverse to do a d can do it for $50 and get multiple coats on it. Also big plus is for those people who do not have a garage since it's a quicker cure time. Do you think I could use 3 coats or just the 2 coats they recommend? How does it do against water spotting and sickness test? Would love to see a video comparing to UK or SiC. The way it made that panel pop a d so much clearer was insane. Quick question though. If I already went over my car with polisher and the whole 9 yards from clay to iron decon also. Then I pit turtle wax seal n shine on it for now till I get the cquartz lite. Could I essentially go back over the car with an IPA wipe of some sort and apply the coating if I'm satisfied with the paint? Well or at least minus the polishing and maybe to clay if needed but spraying iron remover is easy enough. In theory it should be okay since was deconed and prepped before but just decon with iron and stripping all oils away then ceramic ontop correct. Wonderful video though.
The video below compares UK to SiC: th-cam.com/video/AjHhhsVe_oM/w-d-xo.html Yes you can certainly apply 3 layers of Lite - generally a second layer can give you up to 50% more durability and a third can give you an additional 25% or so. You just want to make sure that the Turtle wax sealant is gone before you apply the coating, so look for flat pooling water behaviour and a bit of grippiness in the paint - if and IPA does that then great, but if not you may need to further strip the sealant off.
Okay thank you. My wife's car is definitely looking good. I'll wash it and IPA and see how it feels. Should not need any clay or polish. Paint still looks perfect. Will just make sure it's grabby. Will going over it a few times with the IPA help strip it or better to spray let sit then wipe off? Currently have the Chemical guys Wipeout but getting carpro eraser for this. Will be doing an iron remover just cause easy to spray on and spray off at least. I hope I can get 6-12 months out of it. I plan on topping with meguiars blue after a wash just the spray on and spray off or turtle wax seal n shine. May do one on hers and one on my car. Jjst see how it compares over time.
Sounds like a good plan, and don’t let the IPA sit, but you can be quite generous with the amount which does help cut through and remove certain contamination.
Hi Sandro, I had my car coated 2 years ago with cquarts UK, I just want to rejuvenate my coating and I have some minor swirls. Can I polish it with carpro essence or essence plus? And put on cqurts light? Thanks a lot in advance and more power!
Thanks Sandro, another great addition to your amazing vids. One question though, you say it’s worth applying a lawyer of Reload straight after to protect while curing. I have just put 3 coats of c.uk 3.0 to the front of my VW T5 and was going to apply a coat of Gliss but I’m not sure how long to leave it. I messaged Carpro and they said 4 hrs. It’s extremely hot and sunny here in the UK at the moment. The T5 is Parked outside in the sun, should I apply a coat of Reload now or just wait till tomorrow and apply a coat of Gliss? Thanks again, you have given me so much confidence and knowledge to look after, treat and protect my vehicle. 👍👍
Great review really made this decision clear for me, I just have one question, I saw you apply cquartz lite to windows, I thought windows were the only exception when using this product, is it fine to apply on windows besides the wiper blades taking it off, are there other reasons?
Loving the videos, learning a lot from your channel, thanks for great info! Can you use other sealants say nv lustre or even meguairs nxt / hybrid ceramic wax to top it off instead of reload?
Car Craft Auto Detailing thanks so much, that’s what I trying to put stupid auto correct lol! So apply CQuartz 3.0 then wait one hour go round with reload then customer okay to go? Thanks again for the help 👍🏼
You mentioned that you would not recommend the product for a windshield because of the wipers. You did apply it to the back window of you demo vehicle, which had a wiper. Would you say that is it safe to use in a dry climate that would not see much wiper action?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I am just starting the process of buying products to properly care for my car. In the past I have somewhat neglected my cars or abused them with incorrect washing practices. To that end I have not come across a video yet that discussed appropriate products for the windshield. What product would you suggest for that?
Car Craft Auto Detailing thanks for the quick reply, definitely subbed after this video. Also, maybe a dumb question...but would you say with the two together would be the same if not better than uk 3.0 with gliss on top?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Just jumping on this - it's $10 more on waxit for UK3.0 which is only 30 mls, but it comes with reload as well. Based on that, is it better to go for 3.0 and top up with reload or just apply Lite a few times seeing as you get almost 3x as much?

Super video, and hugely helpful Sandro. When you say an hour or two between coats depending on conditions, are there any tips or tricks to know when it's ready for a 2nd coat?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thank you so much for the very helpful response. I think, considering my (lack of) experience I'll leave it at one coat on this occasion, and top up with Reload.
Hey man! How many cars do u think this will apply to with paint head and taillights and glass included
I still think you’d be able to do a good ten cars with a bottle.
Have a good weekend 🍺 Cheers
as a business owner I am really keen to see the price its a big bottle and with only giving 12monthes if i can get it down to $20 car then I could make some money off of this
Hi sandro, do we need to apply it with both applicators in the box for per car? Or 1 applicator safe enough? Thx
The video below compares UK to SiC:

Yes you can certainly apply 3 layers of Lite - generally a second layer can give you up to 50% more durability and a third can give you an additional 25% or so.
Okay and thanks for the tips. Appreciate it.
Oh will ceramic do fin going over a paint chip? My car has a couple and wife's has about 2 on her hood.
Yes it’s fine to coat over some chips
How does cquartz lite compare to cquartz uk 3.0 in terms of cure time?
Jacob Cabanero no cure time. Wipe on, wipe off
Alex Rivera does that also mean it’s theoretically good for water contact immediately after application?
Jacob Cabanero I’d wait an hour
One bottle can use how many cars coated??
Hi Sandro, I had my car coated 2 years ago with cquarts UK, I just want to rejuvenate my coating and I have some minor swirls. Can I polish it with carpro essence or essence plus? And put on cqurts light? Thanks a lot in advance and more power!
Big question , can two layers of lite last upto one year ?
Based on my testing and putting in own my car I’d say it can definitely last a year and beyond when layered.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank you
Thanks Sandro, another great addition to your amazing vids.
Out today!!
What are you drying your car with? Is the a wet/dry vac?
Does it need curing time after application
Did you use the lite on the plastic bumpers also?
I've got a 1 year coating of cquk with concours lustre ontop. Is it ok to add this as a topper?
Loving the videos, learning a lot from your channel, thanks for great info!
Can you use other sealants say nv lustre or even meguairs nxt / hybrid ceramic wax to top it off instead of reload?
Great video mate!! What’s the cure time on it after the hour and you have applied reload would the customer be okay to drive away?
Car Craft Auto Detailing thanks so much is this same with the 3.0 uk? Apply then replied one hour after then customer ok to drive away? Thanks
Car Craft Auto Detailing thanks so much, that’s what I trying to put stupid auto correct lol! So apply CQuartz 3.0 then wait one hour go round with reload then customer okay to go? Thanks again for the help 👍🏼
The soundtrack to this video makes 100x better
Maestro: Do you recommend to use this product on wheels?
Greetings from Monterrey México.
Yes absolutely! It will tend to last longer than other waxes and sealants you can use on wheels and makes a great entry level wheel coating.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Dear Maestro: Thank you very much for your message and advice. God bless you and give you more.
150$ for 500ml that’s pretty good. It’s 0.3$ per 1 ml. So for a 30 ml bottle it’s 9$. Pretty amazing. I will sell 30 ml for 20$.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks.
Nice video! Can you use lite on top of 3.0 instead of Gliss?
Car Craft Auto Detailing which would you recommend first? Lite then gliss...or gliss then lite. Thanks!
Car Craft Auto Detailing thanks for the quick reply, definitely subbed after this video. Also, maybe a dumb question...but would you say with the two together would be the same if not better than uk 3.0 with gliss on top?
Hi! Did you also applied it to exterior plastics?
Yes
Do we have to use reload after applying this coating? And how would I go about removing the coating?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Just jumping on this - it's $10 more on waxit for UK3.0 which is only 30 mls, but it comes with reload as well. Based on that, is it better to go for 3.0 and top up with reload or just apply Lite a few times seeing as you get almost 3x as much?
Can I use it on bike or car body graphics?
Yes, most coatings will work fine over decals.
Thanks again for yet another great review. Really hard to find unbiased honest reviews. Need to ask if this lite version can be layered and what’s the cure time if i do not have reload? Thanks again
Car Craft Auto Detailing That’s great news. Thks again
