Good job, very helpful. I am in the process of installing one. Mine is on an engine stand so I can't use a dead blow. I am going to heat the wear ring < 500 f in the oven.
Thank you for this video. Do you have any other suggestions besides what you included in the video. I'm going to replace the rear main seal in my 2003 F250 Powerstroke for my very first time. Just wanted to see if you could share any other information to help. Thanks again.
There isn’t one from the factory. It’s a part of aftermarket replacements. Use a Dremel tool w a little cut off wheel. Should help provide u w rags too? Lol
Thanks for the video. I'm doing it today. I have always prelude the seals in my semi trucks but this seal is orginal oem Navistar 182340402 and it's stamped on the seal. DO NOT Prelude. Wonder way?
Its been a long time but If memory serves me right, you need to pull the oil pan off and loosen the crankshaft main journal carrier bolts so the crankshaft hangs down an inch or so in the rear order to pull the seal off and replace it
I haven't even watched this whole video yet to know that this dude is a complete savage...great job my dude.
You know its a good 7.3 video when hes workin on a obs and is blasting jawga boyz
Excellent work! Thank you for all the explanations of bolt sizes and placements, and showing all the steps! Just wish you had links for the seal….
Iv heard of wear sleeves but iv also spent hours sanding the pitting out and slapped a new seal in with no issues.
This is a good instructional.
Thanks for a such a nice video👍🏼
Great and well explained
Is it still leaking? Looks like the valley drain hole up top is where the oil was coming from.
Doesn't look like a drop coming from the rear main.
That rear seal wasn’t leaking at all. That oil is coming down from the valley.
Great video, would you happen to have part numbers for the kit ?

That’s pretty much it, nothing else I can really think of
Can you leave where you purchased the wear sleeve
Is the wear ring part of a kit?
How you cut off the wear sleeve would have been nice to put in the video

Finally a decent TH-cam“fix-it” video. Amazing how many d….bags on TH-cam. Lose the music. Not necessary and distracts (my opinion)
you just added yourself to that list, no one asked for your opinion.
what number is the loctite
Where did you get the kit at with the sleeve?
Right from Ford
How do you cut the wear band off ?
Cutting wheel
I like to know a part #
I'm guessing its the same for an idi?
