Molly, it is so magical where you are....especially with the mist! Thank you for posting this. I think your sketches are great....so textured! I love the curled, crinkled texture of the branches of the trees in the forest.💖🤗
Jake and Scarlett are living the dream! With all that beauty surrounding them, together with their best friend who shares their interest and they have all the loveliest and most interesting people visiting them. Bringing fresh inspiration 👌
Thank you! Oh she’s had a great time, she’s currently snoozing as we’ve been outside engraving all day (well I’ve been engraving, she’s been sniffing)!
Your typical, preferred colors run like an ingenious plan not only through your prints, aquarelles and your clothes, but in an almost magical way also through your videos, where they were not even set by you. Wonderful!
What a lovely comment, thank you! I am so drawn to my favourite colours so I guess it makes sense that I capture them in my videos but I never really thought of it before! 🥰
Lovely to follow along “A Day in the Life”. Interesting that sheep just stood and waited, might not always be a wise choice. How you transform what you see to print is inspiring. Winnie is adorable. Until the next one, Take care!
A new video is coming up this evening with more info about my time there and another next week 🥰 I hope to return to Mawddach to take in more inspiration!
How wonderful to get a sense of “a day in the life”. Mesmerizing.. I’m so taken by your process and how you see the environment around you. I spent many years living on a little island almost on the border of Canada in Washington State. The mist and fog or was such a gift as it seemed every time you looked the scenery around you had changed. I’m so grateful you’re able to share your experience with us. Thank you.
Where you live sounds amazing! I agree the mist was a gift, it changed the landscape so much, everything felt softer and magical! I'm so pleased you've enjoyed watching my videos 🥰
this is the first video of yours that i've seen. instantly enchanted! what a gorgeous place. the mist is wonderfully atmospheric. your sketches and your block engraving are beautiful. looking forward to more (and will be watching your past videos too.) thank you.
The misty surroundings are incredibly beautiful. I imagine it must be quite damp? Hahaha I remember the student days of eating pasta out of a tupperware container. Winnie didn't want any? I guess she was tired of pasta, too!
Really enjoyed this video and seeing the environment and watching you work - beautiful woods and estuary and loved the prints even though you weren’t keen on them all
I'm really enjoying all of your content. The residency sounds like a wonderful experience. Thank you for showing your processes, including your sketch/painting. You are inspiring me and I'm learning so much. xx
That’s a part of the UK I have not visited. The texture of the landscape is fab. I love your sketches which convey the textures. I love seeing Winnie too. ❤
Exited to see how the sheep block will turn out,it looks lovely already😍
Thank you! I really hope it comes out okay, I’m not feeling too confident but we’ll see! 🥰🐏

Yes it seems like a very fulfilling life for sure, so lovely they're willing to share it with other creatives!
I’m really enjoying watching your films. Even a wet and misty day looks wonderful!
Thank you so much! I loved the mist, I am weirdly grateful for the bad weather 😅
I loved listening to your thoughts about the sheep engraving, water vs snow, etc. Interesting!! Winnie looks thoroughly delighted with it all.
Thank you! Oh she’s had a great time, she’s currently snoozing as we’ve been outside engraving all day (well I’ve been engraving, she’s been sniffing)!

Thank you! I guess the sheep are no so clever that they do get stranded but also clever enough to know they're not unsafe! Winnie is a star for sure!
That was wonderful. I hope you can come back at another time of year and continue the series👏👏👏
A new video is coming up this evening with more info about my time there and another next week 🥰 I hope to return to Mawddach to take in more inspiration!
A lovely, interesting video. Those trees! Your artwork is just amazing! Look forward to seeing the sheep print and your next video.
Thank you for your really kind comment! Next video is coming this eve and the sheep block print is show in next Wednesday's video 🥰

THANKS so much for sharing Molly - what a treat!👏🤗
Thank YOU for watching 🥰
I’ve never had much luck with mono prints but I think your ones are great.
That's very kind, I find it hard to make them look good!
I’m loving seeing your videos of the residency and how your work is progressing. I love the monoprints too.
Aw thank you so much, I’m so pleased I’ve been able to bring you on the journey with me 🥰

Aw thank you so much Alice, I'm really pleased you enjoyed watching my first 'a day in the life' video!
The misty surroundings are incredibly beautiful. I imagine it must be quite damp? Hahaha I remember the student days of eating pasta out of a tupperware container. Winnie didn't want any? I guess she was tired of pasta, too!
It was quite damp for sure! Winnie is never sick of pasta as it always comes with cheese 😅
What a fantastic place, those trees are amazing.
It really is!

Thank you very much! I feel so lucky that I had two weeks in such a special place!

I love to hear that, thank you so much! I'm enjoying creating these longer videos and showing how I create 🥰
The landscape is so magical!
It really is!
This was lovely, thanks for sharing it ! Look forward to your video!
Thank you for watching! Another residency video coming out this eve and that last one is next week 🥰
The sheep block looks great already! Excited to see it finnished. What a hilarious scene🤣 Although I do feel a bit bad for them🫣
Thank you so much! I've proofed it now - I show that in next weeks video but it needs a fair bit more engraving until it's ready to edition 🥰
Love your sketches.
Thise sheep may be a Marsh fed flock, so normal for them. Salt Marsh mutton is a special organic produce.
Thank you!
Oh interesting! I did get the sense this happened often as they were so calm! But it looked so cold as it was a very windy, bitter day!
That’s a part of the UK I have not visited. The texture of the landscape is fab. I love your sketches which convey the textures. I love seeing Winnie too. ❤
Oh it's amazing! I'm planning to return to the area and explore lots more!
I love your sketches and the prints
thank you very much!
Your sketches are great. Definitely develop more confidence as they are very good.
That's really kind of you to say, I'm really enjoying sketching for the first time in years, I need to keep it up!
Such a beautiful place Molly. Is this Residency one you have to apply for? Thanks for sharing (-: Marion 🎉
Hi Marion, Yes you have to apply, they get a lot of applicants so I am really grateful I got the chance to do it!
What are those amazing wiggly trees? Some kind of Willow ?
I believe they're hawthorn, extra wiggly due to the weather!
