Apologies, but there was an issue with the export that resulted in the final 15 minutes of the video being cut off. This version has the final 15 minutes included. :)
I agree re Hayter . I think it a gamble but his price tag is probably reasonable. . He has had a lot of injuries over the last few years two broken collarbones last year and with every crash he’s confidence gets shot to pieces it’s become a real problem with his position. Maybe Soudal can help him a new team and environment is a start I guess
EF have A LOT of outgoings and they sort of got burned by going big money on Carapaz two years ago. What will they do to replenish in that squad? Any specific riders that would be a great fit?
Without knowing the money each team has available and the actual contract being signed, it is hard to really judge any of these signings... With regards to the Lutsenko signing I wonder if there are some Premier Tech connections? The PR made it sound like he has previous connections at IPT (riders and staff).
On german cycling sites Kämna said he wants to evolve further and win races of course. But all the media releases feels like hinting a future project for grand tours :-)
Quite like how quite a few teams are doing great signings. RB Bora looking strong, Lidl looking strong and in a different tier Cofidis doing great things. Hopefully this will result in an overall more competitive bunch silencing all the budget cap bs. So far it looks to me like the sport is in a really good place (from a competitive viewpoint). Of course there's Pog and after that Vingegaard but other than that teams are getting stronger.
I think hayter no longer being on an olympic build up should be really positive for his road level. I'm hopeful that plus quickstep has him back at his best next year
i dont think one can look at ucipoints and say quickstep is a better place for remco. the only reason qs can compete is because remco is way better than roglic (pointswise) and merlier is way better than welsford. (sprint also doesnt really say much for remco) also remco finishing the tour and rogla not is a pointsswing of more than 1000 uci points. (and both teams are around 12k points)
Astana should sign Pau 23 years old now. BeTEc Aranburu for B level world Tour team. He can win or poduim some stages and with the right equipenment and training he might be able to score a decent amount of points
Anyone heard of this guy Kristian Blummenfelt? a monster triathlon dude who's gonna start focusing on cycling next year. It'll be interesting to see what he can do. He's definitely pretty quick, winning gold medals in Ironmans and Olympics, and claims to have a record breaking vo2max. Could be a wild card outsider shaking things up in the next few years?
@@samduffy6388 ooh good point on the bike handling. No peloton in Tris so I suppose he doesn't really have any experience riding in a pack. If he can get his bike handling in order he could do ok in the classics, and time trials of course
While this is the best show on road cycling by far, it would be considerably better if Benji didn't interrupt Patrick all the time. PB opionions are the most valuable in all of cycling (media).
The average Major League Baseball salary in the US (and Canada) is $4.98 million. For the AVERAGE player. It may not be a fair comparison but it’s insane. UCI has virtually abandoned North America. We have to pay three different account (Flobikes, MAX, & Peacock) and fuss with VPN to get what I used to get on GCN. Love the sport and encouraged by a new crop of top US & Canadian riders on the World Tour. Keep up the great work guys. And great coverage of Woman’s racing!
I think a lot of people are snickering about Vismas underwhelming season.. After all the luck they had in 23' they knew 24' would be a lot different... But I don't think anyone thought it would be as bad as it has been... I really hope all their bad luck is over and they come back bigger and better next year... We need them at the top of their game especially Vinegaard because he's the only one that can challenge Pogi... Well maybe Remco also...Come on Visma please be healthy in 2025.
reupload 🤔 original video was deleted while i watching 😭

@@LanterneRougeCyclingPodcast ahhh ic :) more content, how can i complain then hehe!
Benji got stuck talking about Borresch's exploits so they had to re-record.
When you thought there is no pod on the Vuelta restday but LR comes to save your day 😄
Exactly! LRCP saves the day.
Start at 56:00 if you watched the previous upload
Was finishing the original upload and sad it was almost over, and BOOM 15 extra min. What a treat
You're forgetting one pretty huge talent joining Lidl-Trek, guys: Albert Philipsen! 🎉

Is it a given that the Van Dijke brothers come as a package deal? 😂 seemed funny that it was so normal that the guys didn’t even mention it lol
Yes they have stated they want to stay together. Since they're both good teams are fine signing both.

Remember when you two said Quickstep getting Tim Merlier made no sense? Because Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Best transfer? O'Connor to Jayco on current form.

Benji with the bikes in a different position every stream atm
Dude is actually using them, what the hell.
Bettiol passing from the best Italian champion kit ever to the worst, such a shame :(
Aaaaaa, what's the difference? Other than one says EF on the front and back and the other Astana...
@@WattsOnTheUpman they are completely different, color tones first of all but also all the details ef is using were stunning.

Any particular reason for the re upload?

DSM is able to extend one of their talents in Bittner, That never happens. They usually lose them when they start to shine, like Benoot Matthews etc.
It's a bummer about Geogonhart... He was looking really solid b4 his big crash.
Sad to see Bettiol leaving he was like the shining figure for Cannondale 10years on Cannondale special bike and now gone...
Bettiol was big this year ... new contract year and I don't think that was a coincidence. He had been pretty bad the previous couple of years.
Who do you think was the HGH Picollo was smuggling for ?

Would Aranburu not be on even more given the premium French teams have to pay?
It's a pity Kuss has no help at Vuelta... Otebrooks is having a shocker.. It's a pity Vinegaard or Jorgenson couldn't be there to help him.

cant go around corners :-D
He won't place top 10 in a 2.1 race. Triathletes power curves are all wrong for WT racing
I’d rather sign with Patek Philippe pro racing team over Tudor.
Is there beef between Remco and Mauri Vansevenant?
Nope, why?
Bring back Jan Ulrich... Achtung!!
