      Dynamite draws around half of RAW's weekly television ratings and has neck and neck attendance numbers. And they have only been business for a couple years, I think people overlook how well they are doing because they are not equaling or exceeding WWE. When Impact Wrestling went head to head with RAW in primetime television and started doing arena tours, they failed miserably after having been in business for around a decade or so. I liken AEW's current situation to what WCW was like in the early 90s before Eric Bishoff took over, successful with name recognition, but still working some things out before hitting a stride. The idea that they would be a small burger stand is kind of absurd. A better comparison is the old USFL and the NFL. That being said, merger would be horrible (and unlikely).

    • @Copperstoned

    Sports franchises are the new billionaire playthings. It supply and demand since there are only 32 NFL teams and with the TV rights the league is insanely profitable so each team is turning a profit every year to boot. This is why even franchises like the Jaguars, which aren't household-name franchises and do not have a history of winning being worth 2-4 billion. In international soccer the profitability is even more crazy. The Khans are making money owning the Jaguars and soccer teams so in this aspect it is a successful business venture whether or not their teams are winning.

    i doubt Vince ever wants to work for someone else. I think it's probably already infuriating for him to have to deal with a board and shareholders, hence why he did those rapid fire replacements upon returning. and if vince were to work under the Khans, i can only imagine him trying to figure out how to twist the whole thing so it's back under him. and i can't imagine Tony being able to control Vince. it would only be the other way around. i think tony only decided to do something like this because he probably doesn't want to see the WWE fall into the hands of the Saudi's and/or get the WWE's tape library then mix and match talent. but unless you have Bill Gates level of wealth, i doubt anyone can control Vince. i think the government itself just tolerates him after the steroid trial. so Tony/Shad would just have to pay whatever Vince wants to straight out own the WWE. but it can't be with Vince involved at that point. i mean, to Corny's point about if it's just hand Vince a big check and let Vince do what he wants, then yes, that would be the best case scenario for Vince. but i can't see that happening realistically. what happens when/if Vince decides to do Vince things and he runs the WWE as he always has done with complaints coming up from the wrestlers? Does Tony/Shad suddenly go to Titan HQ and slap Vince on the wrist and go, "Bad Vince! Bad Vince!"
    again, i can't emphasize enough how VInce is a sociopath. i think even if he tricks Tony/Shad into buying the WWE and allow him a certain degree of control, Vince will figure out ways to manipulate Tony into his own schemes. Everyone who isn't Vince is an enemy to Vince. And as he gets older, he's just going to become more paranoid, more isolated, more scrooge mcduck-like until there's an unmarked grave because people were just glad that he's off the face of the earth.

    • @bluntamainia444
      @bluntamainia444 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      This is extremely accurate. I hate how the marks think it’s cute that Vince is legit paranoid all the time, impulsive and boarder line evil from the CTE concussions.
      Vince is nuts and his goal is to finally have someone pay him to run WWE while he has some larger conglomerate funding but staying from afar is insane or delusional.
      The Saudis will probably do it but outside of that no one else will.
      So all of sudden he totally disbands his board and he takes the company private when he gets an average at best tv rights deal coming up.
