The pressure for sub-rotations is significantly less for DO/MD students in the US than for IMGs or FMGs for that as well. Finding an IMG friendly program is one thing, sponsoring the visa is another, and the competition for the residency spots is just another one all in all. Don't want to be a pessimist when I'm only in my first year out of 6 in MD 😅, but great video and thank you for the information.

Such a great point! The visa issue is huge for non-US citizens. A friend of mine is having to deal with this, and it is painful to navigate. On the bright side, my friend has gotten interviews from a lot of great programs that do offer visas. :)
