i feel you about being misgendered being a shock to the system, i just started uni and i got misgendered for the first time in my life and it fully knocked my confidence, i never really gave any thought to the fact that most people see me as a young boy so i might not pass for a male uni student ahah
good luck on the job hunt man !

Glad to hear I'm not the only one, it's weird getting to understand how people percieve you 'out in the wild' haha. Thanks man, here's to hoping I get something soon.☺️💙

i’ve just been sent my national insurance number cause i’m 16 and i wanna get a part time job but i don’t know what to do cause i haven’t had my name changed yet so if i gave them some ID or my national insurance number they’re going to call me my old name? i don’t know if i’m being dumb or what to do?

If you apply for jobs & get a job interview, you could either mention it then or you could wait until you start to mention it and ask that the staff call you by your preferred name. I haven’t personally done this, because my name is changed, but lots of trans people get jobs and have their work use they’re chosen name & pronouns. :)
