  • Before achieving global success as a professional snowboarder, Géraldine Fasnacht’s first love was flying. Now, as a qualified ultralight plane pilot, she combines her passions to open up the high mountains. Landing ultralight planes on alpine glaciers is nothing new - pioneering aviator Hermann Geiger opened the highest landing spot in Switzerland, 4,370 meters up on the Monte Rosa glacier, in 1921.
But using planes to reach previously inaccessible big lines? That’s unprecedented. In 'LINE & AIR', Marion Haerty and Christina Lusti take to the skies with Géraldine to honour those early pioneers of Alpine aviation and push the limits of what’s possible on the snow below.

Wonderful movie 🤩It's a very inspiring piece of art with phenomenal cinematography, narration and incredible snowboarding. The dedication, passion and energy of the riders is very moving. We can feel their devotion and truthful relation to the mountain throughout the movie. I was touched by the way Géraldine approaches her playground and impressed by the landings on glaciers ! Loved every second of the movie ! For those who haven't watched it yet, it's worth a time !

Excuse my ignorance: I'm confused about the fact that they start their accents on Skis then descend on snowboards.

Great riding, ditch the plane and its fossil fuel. Not one of these place is not easily accessible by touring

Beautiful little movie. I have looked at that big south face of the Monch many times whilst in the Bernese Oberland, and thought it would be a great ski descent in the right condition - but never had the bottle to take it beyond ‘thinking about it’. Kudos, ladies, great job …….

„Shopping Lines by plane“…what a snobistic anachronism in this times….walk it…as all the others or, because Of me, thermal it with a paraglider…
    But, no doubt, excellent pilot!

I hate this noisy planes and helecopters when i am doing my moutaineering tours by fair means. In the swiss alps this is completly unnecessary, you can do all tours from the valley if you take one day longer. If north face keeps celebrating such things i will buy my equipment from more sustainable suppliers in future.

It is a pity that a big brand such as "the north face" still promotes the production of this way of living the mountains, while we all should move to a more "environmentally friendly" attitude. :(
