I have the exact same exhaust set up, Rinehart slip ons and tormentor headers. The sound and feel of the bike is night and day. Runs much cooler as well.
I installed the 4-inch Rhinehart slip-on mufflers my 2020 Harley Electra glide standard and was later told by a Mechanic at the Harley dealership that I should have installed the 4.5 -inch Rhinehart slip-on mufflers instead. When I looked online at the specs for the 4-inch Rhinehart slip-on mufflers vs the 4.5-inch Rhinehart slip-on mufflers the inside diameter of the baffles in the 4-inch and 4.5-inch baffles were both 2.25. The only thing different between these two Rhinehart slip-on mufflers was the end caps on the mufflers
Yea, that doesn't make much sense since internally the baffles are the same diameter. The outside can is bigger and it does make a little difference, but not enough for you to have any real ill effect. Sound like another dealer not knowing what they're talking about.
I thought about these, but when i heard a set of Vance n Hines Monster Ovals on a buddies Harley that was the sound i liked , a real deep tone , not this swishy air noise. the muffler on the right is loose , maybe thats why
I'm slowly making my way to that point. Eventually I'd like some true duals, but this harley isnt my real performance bike, so I'm really worried about any performance gains.
@@nicholasmapes I don't remember what year they started putting cats in headers, but it was right around there. If yours doesn't have one it's possible it could sound pretty similar. This bike has a cam so you won't have that lope, but muffler itself should sound pretty similar.
The clamps aren't on. When we do bunch of shoots in a day it's pointless to put the clamp on. It stretches the clamp and sometimes they get stuck and get in the way.Also the room behind the heatshield on the header pipes is snug, so to avoid scratching anything we just left them off.
Hello...I’m doing some work to my 2016 CVO Limited. Question..I am adding the 117 upgrade kit to my 110, and want to upgrade my exhaust with a S&S Power Tuned Header, and 4” Rinehart Slipons. I was wondering what your thoughts are, as I want a Bagger that has a “bark and great performance” but want to listen to the radio and tunes as well. Thanks...I’ve been watching your videos all day 😂👍
The S&S headers should work great for you. If you like the sound and the tone of the Rineharts, I wouldn't talk you out of them. They're a great quality pipe. Give us a call some time and we'll have a conversation. After that we might be able to direct you a little better.
Not at this time, at least not on our bike. Honestly, we don't get much demand for them on the M8s. It's not hard to make bottom end power with a 2-2 so a lot of guys have been sticking with them. Plus the expense and install process is much higher. That said if someone's in the area and wants to put a 2-1, we'd love to make a deal and do a video.
West End Motorsports, have you done a dyno run yet before you swapped the cam and after the cam? If so which slip ons did you use and what was your results ? Thanks
We haven't put it back on the Dyno just yet, but we should be doing it soon. We did an original run and we have that sheet and we'll do a full update once we're done. The dyno from S&S on that cam is really impressive and that's just with slip ons and stock headers.
WestEndMotorsports I've heard my mechs saying they've had issues with the RCx header cracking at the weld around the cross section. One guy in particular has had it happen on two different sets and is back in to replace it for third time. Wondering if you have had or heard of this issue? I also bought the RCX torks 4.5 slips ons for my stock head pipe on my 2017 M8 107, I did not realize the left exhaust is smaller than the right exhaust and won't fit other headers. Hope you understand what I'm saying...? So does the tormentors headers have like stock exhaust size ports where the mufflers enter the rear of headers? Or are they both identical in size? Can you show or explain on another video so others like me don't order wrong parts or spend more money to replace good parts. Now I guess I'll have to order another right side slip on...unless you have a better answer. Thank you.
Hey Jason, #1: I have not had one set crack (knock on wood) and I sell a lot of these, plus I own them personally. Doesn't mean it's not happening, but if it's happening multiple times on the same bike I'd like to know what else is going on and I'm sure RC would also. I would think somewhere in my sample size that I would have had that issue considering the numbers we move, but certainly deserves additional investifation. #2: Your stock headers have 1 3/4 inlet on the left and a 2 1/2" inlet on the right, so any slip on that fits the stock headers is set up that way. To answer your question the Tormentors would bolt right together with the RC slip ons you currently have and so would many (but not all) other aftermarket headers. You don't have to order anything additionally, just get a set of tormentors and get the most out of your RCX 4.5s. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to call, it's a lot easier to have a back and forth conversation rather than answer comments across multiple different videos. We always pick up and you can ask for Mike anytime.

That cam sounds great. I have the 4.5 moto pro on mine with everything stock but a FP3. Definitely will be going with a cam after the header change.
The 4.5s sound great too. We recorded them the other day and they're coming as well! The cam performs great too, it's not just the sound benefit.

I have the Rinehart 4” with the Slimline pipes. Sounds good, but I don’t they’re as loud as the true dual setup.

For the M8 bikes, they come with the hi-flo baffles. This is with those same baffles and the RCX tormentor headers.

from experience yes they do but it is personal preference it is a deeper rumble with the 4" my buddy has a 4.5" and he likes mine better
