Ok, mine is a 103 road glide, not M8, but I have the full Rush Racing system. Ceramic coated catless header and Big Louie's. Sounds great but too loud for touring. Ear plugs help keep my hearing. The Kerker Stouts are more what I'd look to for hours on the road. Deep, mellow.

I went with the Vance and Hines this time on my CVO Street Glide . All my previous Harleys had the Rineharts. Kind of a toss up between these two (for me).
Nice video. I went with the Cobra Neighbor hater pipes. They were loud but not to loud. They weren't mid life crisis I am compensating for something loud. LOL
From listening to about everything out there at bike nights I bought CFRs. That was 2 years ago. They were the deepest & loudest slip on imho. Now the SVT Boneshakers are the top dog. Ride safe

I agree, I thought your video said stock air filter, and stock headers. I was taking that would be stock tune. If we are in warranty, a tune outside of HDs will void it. They all sound great by the way, thanks for the trial on all of them. Which ones did you like best?
I've read a lot of conflicting statements about the Milwaukee Eight having to have a Pro Street Tuner addition even if all you're putting on are the slip-ons. Any validity to that statement? I've always heard that if you're not changing the air box or head pipes a retune isn't required.
Go with the V&H power duals, HO Slip ons, FP3, air intake and the S&S 465 cams. With just the cams, stage one breather, and slip ons S&S had about 95hp and 115 ft lbs. We're aware. It took us a while to figure it out and a fair bit of money, but it turns out it was our Mic cable. What's worse is there was another cable here that is the right one. All the videos going we film now will be in stereo and we might re-do some of the heavy hitters so people listening with their headphones get it in both ears.
I have owned several twin cams and Sportsters. I am commenting on the sound produced using just slip-ons as you are demonstrating in this video. Now you suggest installing an entire new exhaust and cams. That's a little expensive just to get a better note out of the exhaust!
When you remove the catalytic converter from the M8s, the sound is comparable if not better than any stock twin cam on the market. The single cam makes it sound more like an EVO. So when you say the M8 just does not sound as good, it's not accurate. Also, how many twin cams sound as good as an EVO? How many twin cams sound as good as a Shovel? The answer is zero. Every HD motor has changed the sound and your perception of good seems to depend almost completely on which motor you own or have owned. You don't have to install a cam, but installing a whole exhaust on a Harley of any model is far more common than leaving them stock. It's part and parcel with owning a HD. Not everyone does it obviously, but people have been modifying the sound of Harleys for a very, very long time so it's not a hardship. The M8 not only sounds excellent once opened up, but the potential for performance increases with very basic modifications is absolutely enormous.

Have to get other than stock headers to really wake up these slip- ons.. it’s makes a world of difference .

Gabby Hayes if you're just putting on slip ons you don't need a tuner BUT if you change the headpipe then you need a tuner.
I put slip ons on my 2019, street glide (114) and I would say it could use a tune afterward.

Vh has to much raspy sound I like a deep mellow rumble the kirker seem to be the closest.

I got cobra black slip ons on my black fat bob. Not only do they sound and perform nice, but they look bad ass too.
Your audio is in mono, hard to get good feel for the exhaust in mono. The can opening between exhaust is in stereo

It was 28 when we made some of those videos, it's just from the cold. The bike is all good, runs like a scalded dog!
Bottom line is that the 107, does not sound as good as the 103 or the even the 1202 EVO!
