Part 3 of tearing this Onan B43G down. Had a few issues getting the cam gear off but overall a smooth tear down. Part 4 will be going over the parts and seeing what we have.
Now I know what the inside of my 318 looks like. If it ever needs rebuilt I will drop it off at the motor shop. Thank you very much for a very informative video. Art
very informative, thank you. I'll be rebuilding my CCKB soon from a PowerMax, very similar design. You're correct, most engines need a good cleaning and a refresh to make them run again, people never do proper maintenance so they fail
question for ya kyle: when you are removing the camshaft, is it recommended to remove the points cover box, points & condensor and the push pin before pulling the camshaft out?
Yes, the points should be removed. I thought I mentioned that in the video at some point. I've torn so many P series engines apart, that don't have points, that I forgot. My problem getting the cam shaft out in this case was some gauling on the back of the cam bearing.

Squatch's videos are really mesmerizing. I'd be a nervous wreck using one of those hydraulic puller setups he has.

I'm surprised you didn't hose the engine off after removing the flywheel..
I was squinting when you were taking that snap ring off. lol Another great video
