In my experience Go DWC all day long, cheap to run, relatively cheap to setup (pump biggest expense) very little medium of any type, a net pot, a few clay balls a growdan cube and you are growing Best thing about DWC is when you are done you get rid of the old plant, old root ball, net pot etc, its all clean, no mess from soil or coco, and the replacement bits are about $1 in consumables. Ebb and flow is good, but you go thru too many clay balls, its usually a big pan you need to fill out drip feed is good but again too much needed, a pump, 10l+ pot full of clay balls or coco, it adds up in consumables fast never tried wick or NFT but iv had wilma kits, flood and drain tables, DWC pots and of course soil grows and DWC couldnt be easier, get some 10l buckets with lids, cut 4 inch holes in the top of the bucket, add 4 inch net pots, 2 inch growdan cube, fill the space out with a few clay balls run the air line to a stone and you are done, pot setup for less than $10, $50 for a pump for up to 6 pots, all in a DIY kit can cost less than $100 for a good rotation that will give you one flowered plant every 2 weeks, 6 months of decent high quality nutrients will set ya back $40, all you need is water and PH control phosphoric and humic acid for PH + -, and a PH meter. keep it between 5.5 and 6.5 and you are golden Even if you keep each pot isolated so no single reservoir feeds them you just need to give about 2l of water a day when in full flower, i tend to go one feed just water and full strength nutes the other, doesnt even need to be daily you have a good 4 days before things will run dry, longer on smaller plants, your PH can run out of the range you want if you dont check it every day or few, generally check it when u feed and keep it higher, 6.5, typically the water increases in acidity as it drops, so the lower the water the lower the PH
@@haigilmore9673 I find RDWC hard to manage personally, acids, nutrients all build up in each pot unless it does constantly recirculate, most are just reservoir fed :P
I've just started with hydroponics and am really enjoying it. Currently I have a few aerogardenm which I have found to be great for herbs. However, I would like to upgrade and grow a dwarf lemon tree. I am finding very little information on how to do it though. I would like to convert a two year old tree to hydro. Any information or a direction to point me would be very much appreciated. Thanks so much. I learned a lot on your site.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to learn about aquaponics at home try Panlarko Expert Aquaponics Planner (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got great success with it.
So I am thinking of buying a hydroponic system from AeroGarden and I'm torn between two different systems they're both the same price which is no biggie one comes with seeds and fertilizer liquid I think the other doesn't come with anything it has the pods but you have to buy the Seed separately which wouldn't be a big deal either and I'm just starting this new adventure so the other system is called noiseland I think they're both on Amazon which one is the one that doesn't come with preceded pods but it also they both have grow lights but the voiceless and one has a fan which is something the AeroGarden doesn't have so I was just wondering which one would be better sorry this is long
You forgot the kratky system. In another comparison video kratky came second in producing usable fruit to aeroponics and used even less water than aeroponics.
I have a 3x3 tent (all the room I have for my first grow). I have one DWC system to start. How many can I really fit in this tent? I'm planning to get a Mars II 700w LED light (Mars II 700 LED grow light Coverage: 3'x3' (92cm x 92 cm) Max Yield: 1.8g/watt PPFD: 1280 Replace HID/MH: 350W Draw Power:110V/282.2W±5% / 220V/274.5W±5%) Its a medical grow.
Hi I really was intrested in buying one of the systems but nun of them ship to south Africa could you maby help me find one that dose I had my eye on a ebb and flow system but if you can't help just let me know tnx
Paused at 9.04 to make a guess You sell kits. We shall see if I was too quick to judge Yah I was rite, this was informative but bias Also nutrient solution is Cheap and will last a year at veeery least But I believe a cheap fish bubbler and any non see through container with a dollar store pool noodle to hold your plant And you spend probably 30 bucks absolute max Assuming you have an old yogurt bucket milk jug or what even a water bottle with a sock covering it from sun. Also to get more nutrients it’s pretty cheap supply to last over a year is less than 50 bucks You also should get a ph tester But you can just use bottled water if something somehow went wonkie. It’s so easy and you don’t even need a bubbler to start with unless you buy a fruiting plant maybe. I don’t use bubblers I just change my water every week or 3 weeks in my purple basil. I mean I would get a kit if I wanted a nice clean mainstream bad ass look. Cause some of those kits are sick looking But 100% diy is easy enough and better for long run as far as money is concerned when you grow different stuff and want to try more styles of hydroponics. But if you want simple and style my choice would be 100% buy a kit
hi guys, the greatest success that i've ever had was by using the Keiths Ponics Site (just google it) definately the most helpful info that I have ever tried.
hey ,if anyone else wants to uncover aquaponics diy try Debuncar Amazing Aquaponics Aid (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my brother in law got amazing results with it.
wish i could buy a hydroponics kit system :P it's just expensive, and the police are very observant when people buy theese types of product, i bought a cheap 12v pump, some microcontrollers, hose, planning on doing a modified version of ebb and flow, it will function alot like the Botanium one from sweden, just bigger and scalable :P
hey ,if anyone else trying to find out aquaponics courses try Tarbetti Amazing Aquaponics Tutor (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my brother in law got amazing results with it.
These "KITS" are very expensive and can't grow enough food to support a person unless you buy several at hundreds each. One head of lettuce may cost you $100 to grow using these overpriced toys.
It is not true that hyrdroponically grown plants are as nutritious as outdoor soil grown plants. The micronutirents and minerlas contained within soil, that has microorganisms and clay will always grow superior palnts. And natural light and air combined that strengthens the plant as opposed to stagnant indoor conditons.
In my experience

Wow what a fucking coincidence
Yup and if u wanna go advance do RDWC
@@haigilmore9673 I find RDWC hard to manage personally, acids, nutrients all build up in each pot unless it does constantly recirculate, most are just reservoir fed :P
Thanks for this comment, I been tossing up what the next step from coir will be and I think you just sold it 👍 thanks again
This is the most comprehensive, straight forward video on Hydroponics on the entire Interwebz. Thank you!!!!
Love how you explained everything clearly at [6:31]! 🌱 This is so helpful for beginners!"
There's also Kratky, which is what I use. And it requires no water flow at all. And this is precisely why I prefer it over all the rest.
I just saw a video of the Kratky method + Aerating the water and the yields looked quite a lot better, maybe worth rigging up a stone in there!
One of the best videos I watched about Hydroponics Systems! Thank you so much!
Is the water flow in the system running continuously? Could you let me know if there are working hours?
Best hydroponic video on the freakin’ web tho! Cool Pointdexter. Congrats.
l agree he is the best on good explanation. He knows what is talking about many Thanks.
enjoyed your video. very good video for someone just starting out trying to decide on what system to set up. thank you
dam your cool ;)
i prefer vertical for aquaponics or hydroponics. it provides the most bang for your buck in whatever space you have, once you get your flows regulated
are these systems for those whose too lazy to water the plants or it's better than growing in the ground? Thanks for great info video
Can I get the materials in the market if so please let me know 👍

I think citrus is tricky to grow w/ hydroponics. Join this Facebook group and ask the citrus grower pros. facebook.com/groups/58059164114/
what about the kratky method?

Thank you very useful article
I made a set for 80 plants using NFT , it actually worked well on cherry tomatoes but had to use a 6 inch pipe. DIY ,3

Forgot or just wanted to piss you off?
I noticed the same thing, Kratky system is so simple.
thank you. great video. well put-together
Perfect video explanation. Thank you.
What are the materials use for wicking?
Its a plug and leave sort of thing. Check kratky method
Do u recommend 24\7 drip in a wilma system with pebbles?
Nice video, may I know what app do you use to edit this video?
Great video! Would appreciate more info on the lighting. Thanks!
Seems like a good video but the audio is so low even when i turned it all the way up i still had a hard time hearing it?
Nice video
Yes..DWC..Thank you for vids..had read about 4 of hydroponic systems..

Did you try it the hydroponic method yet?
4-6, at first itll look like u have all the room in the world but as they grow itll get crowded fast.
I got lots of good information, thank you. Even though nearly everything you talked about is unavailable lol. Sign of the times :-)
Unavailable???? In what way?
I want to grow plants in my balcony without electricity and productively can you suggest best system
Kratky
I am British, Irish, I live in Poland the city is Nysa.
where are this products sold in Poland ? I can not find any outlets

Easier to just make one from scratch.
Ganhou um inscrito Brasileiro , ótimo conteúdo , muito esclarecedor ..Obrigado !
Thank you for the information and sharing 👍😊.
Hey thank you for your video so helpful. Based on your exp. the best system for commercial growing of strawberries is NFT or DWC ?
So useful! Thank you!
great info thanks
which fertizer use hydroponics. .
Best idea
Audio is too low, can hear a word
How about a Hempy bucket 🤔👍

Ebb and flow works because roots get enough oxygen.
It's very good
all about and for sales ! this video does not seem to be about helping people !
Good
Good video, volume too low
Thank you ! :)
good video but bad audio
i use DFT
I have a strong hate for the tiny green monster ads
See my videos about this vertical "aeroponics" system I have at home!
just skip to 935
good video tho but thats the title
The title is 'Best Hydroponics Systems' not kits.
u forgot Soil water air injection (hydrosoil)
how to made water nutritions
I cannot hear what you are saying 😕
Turn up the volume

Miracle Gro Aerogarden is a complete waste of money. Terribly overpriced and you have hardly any room to grow anything.
And its own by monsato
I was actually thinking of buying one of those

I can barley hear anything, I have my volume to the max.
Same here
You guys must be high as fk. Sounds fine to me lol.
