- I Built PARIS Out Of LEGO!
I built PARIS landmarks out of LEGO, AT the landmarks themselves, including the Eiffel Tower, the Montparnasse Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Pont Neuf, Disneyland Paris, and LOADS MORE, as well as building my own custom street, including a Metro Entrance, Wallace Fountain, Newsstand and Morris Column!
we have paris at home

Hi TH-cam
Lol when security sees a million lego pieces in his suitcase
I was worried about this - airport / train security, Disney security, the security before you go up the Eiffel Tower, but everywhere was fine
How has no one replied to the 2 best Lego TH-camrs-

😊
Lego people are underrated. ❤
Can't wait to see building the Concorde on a Concorde
Bruh the concorde is retierd now
It made its last flight on september 26 2005
The dedication to build the entire Eiffel Tower in only a few sittings is insane
Next minute he's going to build the entire planet
Hi Generic stud!!
Love your content!!
Keep it up
8:58 "FIELD NOTES:
A massive thanks to Danielle & The Tim Traveller for their help filming and carrying everything!
I've wanted to do the infinite-suitcase gag ever since I started TH-cam! In reality, I took 3 suitcases and a backpack full of LEGO…
The Metro railings of my Parisian street diorama are broken ~ I designed it at home and accidentally left a few pieces behind, one of the many challenges of travelling with LEGO
Building the train on the Eurostar was super awkward. We were surrounded by really serious business people working on their laptops and I was just there loudly clicking LEGO together. The train guard was delighted however, I think I made his day.
I should clarify - I really loved the Montparnasse Tower! It was quiet, cheap, had great views and multiple Zero Euro machines. The Eiffel Tower was incredibly crowded and expensive
I only like filming in perfect blue-sky weather. I had to delay this video multiple times as Paris was too cloudy. It was all booked last minute once the forecast cleared up. It genuinely makes a huge difference to the quality of the footage and feel of the video"
[Field notes notes - screen grabbed & OCR'd with Capture2Text, free and open source of course. Any cApitalization errors are mine.]
thank you

@@ovhgqd Well get ''gooder'' at spelling
I agree
True
I’d love to see Chris’s interactions with customs agents when they say “anything to declare?”
Also, nice little detail of blurring the Eiffel Tower at 7:05 because of a weird legal technicality that prevents people from publishing images of the Eiffel Tower at night. Who knew that light itself can be copyrightable.
(The lamps affixed to the Eiffel Tower are protected by a copyright of visual likeness and any image where they are visible, I.e. at night, cannot be published without permission.)
I'm loving this series, and the impressive creativity on display. It's not just "I built the Eiffel Tower at the Eiffel Tower," it's so much more! Too bad LEGO hasn't made a Ratatouille set yet...
Yay, Tim Traveller cameo!! Your own Paris Street diorama was fantastic, and I loved the rat with the chefs hat! I've never been to Montparnasse Tower, so now I have to make the trip, if only for the Zero Euro notes!
Such a perfect Tim Traveler cameo too. It really is fantastic when creators give little nods to each other, or go as far as directly supporting each other like this.
The fact that he even wants the weather to be perfect just shows how dedicated Chris is. I’m not the biggest Lego lover, but your videos make me so happy that I actually kind of start to like lego 👀
I wish more people would make the same quality content as you put out ❤
Btw, the same thing as he said at 0:53 has also been said about the Eiffel Tower itself.
i definably agree

There is a reason this channel is my all time favourite. I mean nothing compares you can never hate on it, the level of detail is flawless and the dude literally sounds like he enjoys what he does and wants to inspire people to do the same not to mention he can make me laugh out loud all the time. And the rewatchability is insane
Edit: thank you for the heart chris and thanks for everyone who liked
I love it because it raises my attention span
I've rewatched for idk how many times now
@@Mini.kotoko._ same lol
Ive never commented something like this, but I just wanted to say how much I really enjoy your videos Chris - they’re fun, engaging and supremely high quality. I’m glad your channel is growing as you so very much deserve it and it’s been an honor to have been a subscriber since 50K!
That is wired. When I came to the video it said "No one has commented yet say something to start the conversation" or something like that.
i love Ralph and Bella. your silly theme song are hilarious, especally the ones about lego frogs. your builds are so inspireing, and have started many a project for my creations. hope Ralph is ok, and hope your tax management is also ok. you are my favorate youtuber.

HAHA 😂 I love how you blurred out the Eiffel Tower’s lights at night!! Great video as always, Chris!
My family loves it! Our faces through the whole thing were priceless. As someone whose dream it is to go to paris before I turn 20 this meant so much! Merci Chris! ❤🇫🇷

Chris!!! You absolutely outdid yourself! Loved everything about this video. Please please please submit your Paris diorama to Lego Ideas. It is sooo perfect! Perfectly detailed and humorous without being too overcomplicated and the sewers and catacombs + the mechanisms built were just genius! With your following I'm sure we could all vote for this to become a real lego set! Loved the field notes. Montparnasse IS really ugly-lol- but you have now motivated me to go up and see the view :) Can't wait for the next episode of your travel series!

I wonder where is the Villains base
The villains base:
I love how well Chris treats his cats. I bet Ralph and Bella don’t know that millions of people know about them and watch them. And Chris will do pretty much anything for them. Props to Chris for spoiling the heck out of his cats. And just being the perfect cat owner.
4:15 that cheff looked like he was about to kill that man
going to paris was one of the greatest experiences I've had, and being able to relive in through this but with LEGO ON TOP OF IT ALL was truly amazing.
Man, Chris is just the best youtuber. from "build in a bag" to a poop collection system, Chris will do anything no matter how long it takes. my hero.
Chris spends so much time in these videos just for us. Highly appreciated !

C'est une gaspillage phénoménale.
Nice little tour of Paris. Having never left North America, I never actually realized that Paris only has the one skyscraper. Thanks for the delightful video!
Greater paris has more, they're right outside the city itself, in the business district of la Défense
5:01 just noticed you used a Lego Minifigues polybag as the ads on the Morris column, that's really cool
MrBeast stayed at the hotel that HalfAsleep Chris stayed at in paris
I noticed that too lol
Me too
Food for thought, if you buy the Eiffel Tower but don't feel like building the whole thing, you could always build the top half and build the Blackpool Tower
I love that this is becoming a series! ❤
@@ovhgqdI don’t even need to look at yours to know it’s not
@@ovhgqdgooder 💀
I'm sure I read somewhere that Mr Eiffel thought the tower named after him was an absolute eyesore so liked to climb it as it was the only place in Paris where it didn't spoil the view. I can't see the architects of Montparnasse being so scathing! 🙂
The Paris video is fantastique! 🇫🇷
You having all those Lego sets makes me really jealous
Same
growing up I felt like every square meter in paris would have at least 347 mimes
Imagine the look on The security Guard face.😃
The first time a saw half-asleep-chris was when he made his Rollercoaster in his house, and I initially forgot about him, until now, and I love lego, and I love these places! Keep it alive, Chris!

I always love Chris' videos! His enthusiasm and professionalism helps him create fascinating and fun to watch videos. Thanks, Chris!
How awesome that The Tim Traveler was part of this in more than one way! 🥳
0:27 Just imagine Chris putting the LEGO trail on the platform and lying down on the ground to try to get this shot while busy people are milling about, trying to get to their destinations. 🤔 Good thing Chris looks so young, he probably gets slightly fewer stares. 😂
0:15 and overall the theme song is probably my favourite part of the episodes

Building a train on a train on a train on a train yeah
This train goes underwater
And crosses the French border
I started in the UK 🇬🇧 and I finished in France 🇫🇷
He’s so right with the art stands there are so many there are different art stands everywhere and the really pretty and really expensive
I love your MOC which is much more Parisian than an Lego set
5:44 can’t wait for that video I’m so stoked
7:05 Chris... You do know that the lights on the Eiffel Tower are still copyrighted, right?
Update: He blurred it, I guess that means he knows
Yeah thats why its blurred

My kids and I would like to say a massive thank you for ALL your videos! Your creative content, funny commentary, cute cats and inspiring builds have been a life saver this last month as we've battled scarlet fever, chicken pox and gastroenteritis!! While being off school in the summer heat, stuck on the sofa - watching your videos has kept us entertained and sane!
Best wishes and thank you Half Asleep Chris, Danielle, Ralph and Bella

I’ve been there! It’s amazing! Thanks for vid and Lego bricks!
Who else is loving this Lego series so far?
Please, please, pleeease build the new Disney Castle set at the Disney World in America!
5:02 i like how you used the minifigure packages for the ads!
I love your diorama of a Parisian Street it is just so cool good job Chris👍🏼
Can we just appreciate the fact that Chris travels A LOT just for our entertainment? We have no idea what effort is put into these videos but we’ll always appreciate it.
Its always a treat when Half asleep Chris uploads
In your next video could you maybe build another thing for your cats? Great video btw
Hearing Chris’s voice gives me pure joy. Keep doing stuff like this Chris you’re doing great and tell Bella and Ralph I said hi. ❤❤
Wait. How do you take all of those lego to home with you?
2:24 That's true, the Statue of Liberty is not only in New York. It's also in Paris.
A very cool MOC! I immediately recognized the Wallace fountain in your MOC 😉because there are some in my home city, Barcelona, as in some other cities around the world. Fun fact, there is a Wallace fountain type just a few meters away from the Lego Store in Passeig de Gracia. Thanks for this amazing video and also a fantastic travel guide of Paris!😎
Chris your videos rock! I love LEGO a lot to, I’ve made a Eiffel Tower before 😀 also everything was the wrong Color.
Your videos are so upbeat and never cease to amaze me! Great job, your so talented!!
2:45 was that the Tim traveler
I hope everyone can really appreciate all the detail Chris puts in, right down to creating catchy tunes that GET STUCK IN MY HEAD!!!
Would love to see Chris come to Sydney and build all the Australian themed LEGO stuff (although I shudder to think what Qantas would charge as excess baggage for the massive Sydney Opera House set)
This is a great addition to the series

Amazing video as always! I just got back from Paris after 2 whole months adventuring through Europe, so it's very fun seeing someone else enjoy Paris as well in a very fun and interesting way! You put so much work and passion towards your videos, and I hope you know it is highly appreciated!
Please keep up the brilliant work, et merci beaucoup!
This was so lovely to watch! I'm so glad you were able to go to France and have a great time!
Bruh, the view from that hotel room. I love this video. Well done. I think I'm going to go to Paris and play this video on my iPad, so I can watch you build the Eiffel Tower from the Eiffel Tower at the Eiffel Tower.
Love this series so far with the london and now the paris, incredible work but by far my favourite parts of all the vids you have ever done will always be the catchy jingles.
At 8:12 chris filmed the eiffel tower at night, but there’s a law against that lol😂
He blurred the lights and the lights are the problem
I never knew they banned skyscrapers in France because of one building 😂
France is a bit bigger than Paris
But yes, European cities tend to ban skyscrapers from their historical centre
@@bodlouk7011 And that's a good thing, most skyscrapers are plain ugly. I agree with European cities tend to ban skyscrapers, as they don't belong in ANY historic city centres
When Chris dropped that one piece from the top of the hotel, I was at the edge of my seat! “Poor Lego piece!”

Half asleep Chris never fails us. Love how this is becoming a new series! Can't wait for the next one! Just for an idea, you could do Rome next! Love the new videos!
Another of your wonderful, quirky videos, thanks! When you said you were going to build a Lego modular, I was convinced, for one ecstatic moment, that it was the Cafe Corner, the first and in so many ways the best modular (the other contenders are, in my humble opinion, the Green Grocer and the Parisian Restaurant). I have The Lot on display in cabinets at my front door. Everybody gasps and thinks I am some kind of wiz but once disabused of that notion, they then swoon over that Green Grocer. It seems to be the choice of 90% of my visitors.
Another Amazing video, never had a doubt!!! Great job Half Asleep Chris!😊🎉

Every time I see a new video, I explode with happiness. Thank you so much for doing what you do. As others have said, real commitment, dedication, and super cool work.
So I've lived in Paris for 16 years, and still recall running laps in pe on that stadium in front of the hotel room.
