My question is, how do you find a magic store that would want to buy some of these rares in that quantity? For example, some stores don’t buy cards under a dollar
When I lived in California and played magic [2005-2011], Adventures in Comics and Games [who sponsored LSV before Cahnnel Fireball] would offer $25 store credit for 1,000 commons; $50 for 1,000 uncommon cards; and I forget the rate for bulk rares. I would pull anything I though was even kinda good out of them and racked up store credit. On a different day, I used my credit to get eternal playable cards. I know for a fact that they were not the only ones. Stores will take bulk at a rate because they sort and sell online.
@@sl3848 - I believe it. I stopped opening sealed product somewhere around 2018 or 2019. I don't know how viable it is anymore, as I haven't done it in years, but I used to buy bulk and make budget casual decks. I would put in a lot more effort than WotC ever did. I would write up a primer and a list of suggested improvements. Word got around and I had a good side hustle that would be reinvested into my personal collection.
I really liked these videos man. very interesting. First time hearing about card trader, looks very interesting especially as a fellow canadian. would love to see more mass openings and analyses!
Absolute legend for letting others know about card trader, as a fellow Canadian its the closest thing to TCGplayer we can realistically get, big thanks for letting other know 🙏
Do you think the results would be simular if you did the same thing with set boosters from the set or do you think that the list would give a lot more variance in how much you open monetarily in each box?
I haven't tried before with set boosters, but I think the variance between getting each specific card would be higher. The list could affect the value a lot too, so overall I imagine there would be a lot more variance with set boosters. If I can ever find a good deal on set booster boxes I could test it out!
You can see just how much they manipulate the collation to give you tons of dud mythics to keep you chasing the good ones. There really shouldn't be mythics that suck so bad that they become
There really shouldnt be mythics at all. But since they do exist it would be nice if they stuck to the original plan for them, which was mythics should be big and flashy cool cards that arent necessarilly tournament quality staples.
@@DiabolicgoatExcept solkanar the tainted (got that one in the promo pack for my precon lol) is not exciting, it's obviously unplayably shit in every format
@@davedeboy5726But I didn't pay $5000 for the boxes. I'm not sure where you got that number. They were $120 CAD each ($83 USD), so they cost $1660 USD, not $5000.
These videos would be much more enjoyable if you didn’t use TCGMid pricing considering nobody, including you, is really selling most of these cards for those prices. It skews the perception so much so as to be pointless IMO

Usually Face to Face Games will take large quantities and pay good prices

@@PaulGaithercurrent bulk rates are about 1/5 that number if you can even find somewhere to take them

I just finished watching the previous video when this one popped up. Good timing.

Thanks :)
Thanks for sharing! Good to know stats on a big opening like that.
Remember guys, spending this much money in packs is never a good investment, it's a passtime activity.
especially the way he handles them. Good bye 10s. the edges of those cards a surely dmg under 50x magnification.
@@davedeboy5726 10s? nobody is grading DMU cards lol
Looking forward to the 40 box opening video to check that Mythic variance, let's go!!

Do you wanna stil open the last 10 boxes, or keeping them for draft with friends?
I might open them once I've finished selling the singlesnfrom these boxes
bruhs milking that box opening as hard as he can.
130€ x 20 + time oppening shorting and recording. Let a man have his cow
Yay, a face reveal!
Maybe I missed it but what‘s the total value vs the total price you paid? Very interesting to see the percentages irl. Thanks for the video
The totals weren't in the video, but it was about 1.5x value vs price
Really interesting!
Can I have a weatherlight compleated? I'd really appreciate it. Ill pay for shipping
Sure :)
How do I buy your pauper cards from these boxes?
Send me a message on Discord, email, or IG. It's all linked in the description or on my channel page :)
Mind if i get a Sheoldred? Would be a pleasure
My birthday coming up soon. Thanks, Dad!
cards are so expensive in US, you can easily get a refund on a box. in Europe Sheoldred goes for 60€ / Zur 6€ / Lilliana 11€ etc...

Very entertaining! I'm sure it was fun to open boxes. But for God sake's people, just buy singles.
I own a tcg selling business. If you’re looking to offload huge lots of singles or collections let me know.
hold on... you're smart enough to spend 5000.00 to get a return of 2785 back?
I have no idea how you got this math lol
