Each release has its own character, and this puts me in mind of a ruined, half-abandoned capital city still crawling with danger and a small but terrible chance that you'll incur the wrath of its eternal king. It is also PHENOMENAL music for playing Torchlight II.
I wish the first 5 min of this track had a longer segment especially when it got into that little bass groove. Currently writing an encounter in my eldritch campaign I'm making as Hastur reveals himself to the PC's before a nice little boss battle. Perfect music to write to!
I've been waiting in anticipation for the next release in this ongoing yearly collaboration. Yoooooo you have to share those ideas with me, I've been working on nearly the exact same thing. The only difference is that Hastur is his patron but also the main antagonist of my campaign, and the warlock doesn't know it.
So far, it's been hints and creepy dreams, as well as meeting someone else who sought power from the Great Old Ones and who was turned into a brain-eating blob monster as a result. I do want to kick things up a bit at the end of the current arc (which involves an elven world-gate), with a brief dream visit to Carcosa, there to be told his patron's plans to spread madness across Thule (the setting). And maybe a visit to Orech, a city in the setting that was infected with an unnatural madness by preists of Hastur, and is being reconfigured to the designs of their patron. I'm playing it by ear to some degree, based on where the player sees the character going. :-)
Horrifically beautiful - I sense I need to purchase this CD set as well. I've loved all the others, and like an ancient book wrapped in a warm flesh-like substance, This album collection is a physical 'thing' you need under lock & key secured in your secret library... and not just floating around on an invisible cloud with photos of what other people had for lunch at "Kookie-Sushi" restaurant.

To the creator of the track. I thank you. You have successfully put into music the sensation of being in a combat zone. I spent half of 05 and all of 06 in Mosul and Baghdad. This is that sound track. If you would add bass heavy distant explosions, helicopters whirring in the distance, diesel motors spooling, tank tracks, sparse weapons fire, and the cherry on top, the call to prayer, I'm more than sure you could induce a flashback. Screw it make it happen. I need to re-live some stuff. Great work

He refered me to a couple of sites regarding creating granular sounds to create smooth low pitch and depth when working on Dark Ambient music. He tries to answer every question when a listener posts something about his recent projects. Iron is a true lover of Dark Ambient music and it shows in his creations.

33:53, when it goes into one ear it gave me a isochronic tones esque feeling and I got a slight headache until it normalised and felt kinda weird afterwards. Would expect nothing less of top-tier Lovecraftian music than to actually give me weird feelings in my head.

💀 💐 As a mortician by trade, and a lover of art, horror, dark ambient music, and HP Lovecraft, one of my dearest hobbies is to explore old cemeteries. One of the oldest cemeteries in Illinois is located in Alton, high on a hill, overlooking the bleak Mississippi River. A few years ago, while exploring this desolate place, I found two open crypts. When I entered them, they were empty. Well, the first one was. The second one was indeed empty of human remains, however, sitting on the stone bier was a hideous bas-relief of none other than the great Cthulhu himself. When I took my phone from my coat pocket, to my dismay, it was completely dead. 0% power. I thought that was particularly odd, since when I left my house it had a full charge. So I shrugged it off, spent another hour or so in the cemetery and then came home. Once back home, I took my phone from my coat pocket and was about to put it on the charger, only to discover that it had a full charge of 100% power. Clearly, the Great Old One didn't want His photo taken. True story.

33:53, when it goes into one ear it gave me a isochronic tones esque feeling and I got a slight headache until it normalised and felt kinda weird afterwards. Would expect nothing less of top-tier Lovecraftian music than to actually give me weird feelings in my head.

They did an “Urban Warfare” compilation mix a year or two ago- if you look in their playlists section of the channel, and go through the “Dark Ambient Mixes 2019”, “Dark Ambient Mixes 2018”, etc, you should find it there. If I come across it soon, I’ll give you a more specific location for it. Edit: It’s called “Urban Warfare Ambiance”, under “Dark Ambient Mixes 2018” in playlists. Or you can just do a TH-cam search for the title and I’m sure it will come up. I hope that helps! Stay safe and healthy-

💀 💐 As a mortician by trade, and a lover of art, horror, dark ambient music, and HP Lovecraft, one of my dearest hobbies is to explore old cemeteries. One of the oldest cemeteries in Illinois is located in Alton, high on a hill, overlooking the bleak Mississippi River. A few years ago, while exploring this desolate place, I found two open crypts. When I entered them, they were empty. Well, the first one was. The second one was indeed empty of human remains, however, sitting on the stone bier was a hideous bas-relief of none other than the great Cthulhu himself. When I took my phone from my coat pocket, to my dismay, it was completely dead. 0% power. I thought that was particularly odd, since when I left my house it had a full charge. So I shrugged it off, spent another hour or so in the cemetery and then came home. Once back home, I took my phone from my coat pocket and was about to put it on the charger, only to discover that it had a full charge of 100% power.
Clearly, the Great Old One didn't want His photo taken.
