The plant heist bit reminded me of my late mother who always had a pair of hand pruners in her bag and always on the lookout for "potential" cuttings 😂

thanks russel for allowing us a home and garden tour. it's always exciting to discover someone with similar home and garden design aesthetics. your tropical jungle look and plant choices reminded me of my gardens while i lived in florida. i now live in the mountains so the plants have changed but collections of art and artifacts like yours are incorporated throughout the house. i too have a couple of coconut fiber capes displayed which are hard to get here in the states so it was fun to see those. thanks again irene for another really fantastic home and garden adventure!

I have a wild jungle in my little yard. My neighbours don't like me. I have 2 Australian tree ferns and they cut any frond that goes over the fence. Possums birds and all kinds of 🦋 butterflies and bird visit🎉. Plenty of trees arrive via birds and flying fox dropping seeds.
I wish you were my neighbor and I would get free plants .

Thank you! I would have absolutely needed one week to tidy up the house interior if someone is visiting...let alone film! He kept it really neat indoor and I really just helped myself with the tour😄

I have a friend who grew one of these. Little did he know that groups of poisonous snakes were starting to call it home. One day he was watering the garden and got stung. He actually died on the spot and nobody found him until 5 days later when one of us went to go check on him. The entire garden about a year later died after the new owners moved it and ripped it all out to make room for their new car garage.

What a beautiful space. I am attempting this in my backyard but I have a big dog and tortoises so I must also consider what might be harmful to them before choosing plants. I like the idea of grouping pots or mini container gardens.
