I am not sure what product is on my real nail... acrylic overlay? I would like to transition to doing my own gel at home on just my real nail without the overlay. I usually go 2-3 weeks for a fill and color change. Can I use a Dremel to remove the gel and the overlay product? Thanks!
Hello Paola, I notice in this video that when you're using the efile, you're going from right-to-left and from left-to-right across the nail. Are you changing the direction of your efile when you do this? Is this extra fine ceramic bit a dual direction bit? Left-handed nail tech here and I can't find any left-handed fine ceramic bits literally anywhere.
If you’re a lefty work in “reverse” setting. Say you’re DIYing… The bit in this case would be turning AWAY from you, and you do the opposite of the bit rotation… since it’s rotating AWAY from you as a lefty in the REVERSE setting, than you would efile towards you. When you switch to your right hand, bit is in FORWARD, rotating away from you, if sweeping side to side, file towards you. Makes sense? Try it and let me know.
Paola, I need DIY help - thank you for your videos! When soaking off, how do you do both hands? Foil soak one hand at a time? Can you show a video of this? I tried both hands and it was so comical - I could not keep the foils on tight 🤣
The trick is to put gloves 🧤 on after you wrap the fingers on one hand. Like latex or nitrile gloves. That will hold the foils in place and speed up the removal/breakdown of the gel :)
What do you consider “high speed”? In you videos can you please tell us the speed setting you are using

Genius! I will try that next time. THANK YOU so very much.
I'm not skilled in the drill. Can I just soak them off everytime i do them?
Sure!
I keep over-filing my nail trying to get the mochi off 😅🙃I just need to be ok with having to soak off.
Yes, that easily soaks off.
