Ben C Those are actually decorative cannon. They are 19th Century, made to look 18th C. How to tell: the bores are off centre, the shape and position of the fillets is unusual, the shape of the cascabel is not standard and the trunnions are inconsistently sized.
My Grandfather immigrated to America to here outside of Chicago in 1969 and brought with him a wall hanging cabinet clock with the MFG tag inside built in Chicago in the 1880’s. Very odd that it ended up in Sweden just for him to move here with it just 50 miles from Chicago. It still works with the heavy hanging weights and chains inside it.
You're looking purely at the potential gross...to the price he offers, please add: (a) a reasonable proportion of the transport cost incurred (in this case at least a days worth of the leasing costs, tyre costs, and fuel costs of the lorry - or if owned a fair proportion of the depreciation cost, engineering costs, tyre costs, insurance costs and fuel costs)...at least a days worth in this case... (b) a reasonable proportion of the wages costs, employment costs (not inconsiderable), plus NI and pension costs (considerable) of the retained staff...at the very least the driver...for a days worth of the driver in this case... (c) a reasonable proportion of all the above costs for the, (I assume), part-time staff included in the restoration/preservation of the goods (d) a reasonable proportion of the warehousing/storage costs/head office/insurance costs at his base (again not inconsiderable) (e) a fair proportion of marketing/publicity costs (f) All delivery costs included in the gross (unless separately quoted) (g) VAT as applicable on all the above (h) Income or Corporation Tax on all of the above, depending on how the business is set up. (i) A reasonable profit margin (to include effectively his/his wife's wages, their personal taxes, national insurance and pension schemes (j) anything else industry-specific I might've missed Does his margin still look excessive? Have you ever been in business or at the sharp end of one? Prick....
Don't be ridiculous. In any case, Wendy Harris above has spotted what goes on behind the scenes in these TV programmes. The vendors would never normally accept such low offers from customers.
So does researching the cannons' military origins become the pleasure of a new owner, or would their value increase if Drew & team did the research before a sale???
Or here on the East Coast of the states. America is rich in 18th century furnishings that were built here, but very old stuff brought here from Europe would probably cost an arm and a leg here compared to there that’s for sure.

So the £150 Restoration, is a quick spray of a solution.?
Drew, antiques dealer says 'It's an old Victorian house that's been in the family for three hundred years.' More likely Georgian!

My house Is on salve hunters tonight! (Hooton Pagnell hall)
Great find as antique.
They didn’t even restore the actual guns! They need to treat and preserve the iron
Look a 2:50 there are 2 books under the left front leg holding it straight.
Very nice Cannons
As always, Drew offers a pittance and the owner meekly accepts.

No income from the prog maker?
Everyone should attend a Production Economics 101, perhaps then we wouldn't get comments like these.

It's an old Victorian house that's been in the family for 300 years ?
It was rebuilt in Victorian times but the family had been there from much earlier.
The plural of cannon is cannon not cannons.
That's not what I was taught at school. Those were the days of punishment if you got things wrong!
