Watch out guy in yellow house will run a bubbler then turn it off. You will have 6ins of ice to left of launch and will go to 2 or less to right of launch when bubbler is going. This is on Long Lake
Crazy seeing a video pop up saying "first ice" when its Jan, haha. Im just to use to the great north Canada lol. Lots are driving up here and have been for awhile. I was at 19" ice yesterday where I was. Thats cool you're getting ice now....def need some more thats sketchy. Dont be afraid to smack the ice hard with that bar. "Rule" lots of us go by up here is if your walking an spudding a real hard hit and doesn't break through on a single hit it can "probably" "usually" be classified as quote on quote "safe" Ish. I'll walk and hit as hard as I can and if she dont go though ill keep going slowly. Lots thou I will stop as well an spud that ice hard as I can till it goes through. Everyone different and that's how I do it. Cool update an be safe!

I live in the Higgins Lake area and it's not frozen over yet. There's some shore ice but that's it. Higgins is also 135 feet deep so it definitely takes longer to freeze over

I live about 2 miles from it.. in oxford...haven't fished it yet...what species are In there? and depth plz ... never see many on it.. curious if you know of some other lakes in the orion area... shoe lake , Graham, chamberland, lost lake, and of course lakeville... I'm gonna go to some of those spots tomorrow and hoping to get on ... I could let ya know the thickness if you'd like

Random perch and crappie as well. I’m buttoning up a few things around my house this week and hopefully get out maybe Wednesday/Thursday and possibly the weekend.

I was at Cass on Friday, it was open water in the bay.
It’s made about an inch in less than 48 hrs. Should be great by weekend I’d expect. Thanks for watching!🤘🏼
