  • I couldn't find anything on the 2012 Kia Sedona to find this sensor. My husband and I decided to help out people on where this sensor is located

    Thank you! This video was a very helpful when I replaced the crank sensor on my 2014 Sedona. I did get my part at O’Reillys (but probably paid too much). It was nice that I didn’t have to
    spend a ton of time looking for the sensor.

    THANK YOU!!! I bought a new sensor for about $15 and did the change myself quickly with no problems. Note to anyone reading this - do EXACTLY what they say to do and it will be easy. The only hard part is actually unplugging the sensor. You do have to push the blue clip up. When you break off the tab (you will, it is 10-year-old plastic) use a screwdriver or something to push the blue thing up so that you can squeeze the black part and disconnect the plug.

      Thank you so much for the comment! Aside from my blunder when I say inches 🤪 but y'all know what I meant 🤣

    That's not the CPS; those are the input/output speed sensors you just removed. The crankshaft position sensor is related to the engine module, not the transmission side. The crankshaft position sensor is located on top next to the engine cover, and you don't need to remove the battery to access it. Crankshaft Sensor and Input/Output Sensor two different thing but almost look a like.

    Yes, the part labeled "39310-3C410" from KIA was the correct part :)

      😁 I'm not the most savvy when it comes to saying the correct wording sometimes but you knew what I meant 😉

    You mentioned that the parts stores give you the wrong part....SOLID advice, they tried to give me a 3 prong sensor, and then tried to sell me a giant unit with what looks like the black sensor inside it.

      It was nuts. I tried to get the correct part like 4 times before I gave up and went to the dealership

    Thank you for the video! Do you mind if I ask what codes you were getting? Also what symptoms you were having to know it was the crank shaft positioning sensor?

      It was the code P0335. Suddenly, the van was very hard to start. It look between 5-6 tries to get it going and the code popped up. Also, when we were idling at a stop light or even about to go through an automatic carwash in neutral, the entire van completely shut off. (It stalled while idling and was hard to start.) Since the video and getting the correct part from Kia, we have had no problems.

      Hi, I already replaced the CPS guided by your video. How do I reset the code?

    • @davinacollette5682
      @davinacollette5682  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@therearetworoads460 I think in order to reset the code, if it hadn't reset on its own is to take it into the local autozone/o'reilly's/etc to have them reset it. Sorry for the late response

    Darlin', at 5:32, you meant to say 10mm, not 10-inch bolt, and a 10mm wrench, not a 10-inch wrench. You can script it over your video like others do when they say the wrong thing. Otherwise, good problem solving video.
