We go beyond the profile, with each new episode being a candid look into the everyday lives of our subjects - meeting their friends and observing their rise to Internet prominence.
For our first installment, we take a look at the man behind the handle RAYSCORRUPTEDMIND. Most notable for his exclusive portraits and behind-the-scenes snaps of rappers like Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Quavo and Lil Yachty, the budding photographer has established an intimate style which has helped him amass an immense following on Instagram. His distinct body of work has led to large corporations like Nike looking to emulated his style.
In the featured video, we take a look into Ray's life - much of which he spends hanging out in Manhattan with his close friends Imran and Osiris. The young creative tells us about how shooting at home with Bloody Osiris led him to eventually become Travis Scott's personal photographer. During our time, Ray reveals his secret to capturing genuine moments with the most elusive artists, and provides valuable advice for other aspiring photographers.

I'm not one to hate on success but it seems like a lot of these young photographers are gaining there notoriety not through the quality of there photos but instead by shooting shots of famous rappers. shooting pictures with high grain that are slightly over exposed is visually appealing but I think they need to focus on taking a picture that says something rather than just taking one of Playboi Carti.

I hope people realize because Im a photographer myself and I shoot digital that he ain't all that. I think that his film photography is dope and I fuck with it a ton but, it's exactly like gunners. portraits of rappers and celebs and the same filter, same angles, same shit that every young hypebeast is about today shooting the rap scene. Im not hating but I just think its funny when people act like they know photography but just shoot point and shoot 35mm film and use those disposable cameras and think their gonna blow up. cause I notice this came into play not to long ago and everyone is doing it too. It would be dope if this guy ray mixed it up a bit and used digital and film. Maybe add some different measures in his photography. BUT The top two photographers on my list thats been around for a min is Petra Collins and Elie ( vision elie) . Their work blows my mind everytime and elie uses a mixture of both digital and film.. soo like both gunner and ray work is hard but they not the hardest in the game.
