Deutschland-Ticket costs 49 Euro a month, that's 588 a year. If you can get a deal with your work you can get it even cheaper. I pay my ticket 34 Euros a month, and that comes up to 408 Euros a year to travel anywhere I want in Germany. Even if you want to travel outside of germany there are far better options than a car imo at the moment.
