At Saffies, I thought it's hilarious that all your LA friends are in breezy white, and you are holding down the New Yorker vibes in all black. Clash of West and East coast, lol!
I’m feeling that indigestion struggle 💕 my gastritis/IBS can make or break a trip. I really struggled in Texas and Georgia because of how heavy the food was. A flare during a trip usually leaves me with negative memories lol I was SO happy that I had NO trouble with all the pasta in Italy because I can’t eat pasta out in the US. They weren’t lying when they said Italy’s food freshness and prep is on another level. And you guessed it, Italy was one of my most favorite trips 😍
The fact that the coffee bean you went to is in one of the most coffee shop dense areas of LA breaks my heart LOL. You could’ve gone a block in any direction and ran into a better coffee spot. Including one called spot coffee funny enough
Kalguksu is actually one of my favourite korean dishes. It's so comforting and I love it when they have fresh spicy kimchi (not the fermented ones) as a side dish too, elevates the whole meal :)
i love your videos and especially vlogs!! everything looked so amazing, glad you had a nice trip besides getting sick :) hope you’re feeling better and i can’t wait for more recipes 🥰
aaaaahhhh ok these LA spots are descriptive of my life lollll. My parents are visiting me in LA rn, and I plan to take them to Hangari and Saffy's too!!! Jinsol Gukbap is equally good if not better -- spectacular Busan-style dishes. I have to get its soondae gukbap every few weeks :)
I live in LA and love hangari. We get the chicken kalguksu and it's thick, comforting, and not too salty. Unfortunately, I really do not like their kimchi. I wish they made their own.
I love that you had a great time in LA! When you go back, I recommend Yeems Coffee & MuMu bakery’s fresh croissant bungeoppang in Ktown, ruen pair, Saap cafe, and Jitlada in Thai Town, Mexican street tacos 🙏, pupusas and Porto’s Bakery (their guava puffed pastries and potato balls specifically).
Great video! Next time I recommend going to the San Gabriel Valley area for some Chinese food and if you can try going down to the Westminster area in Orange county for some of the best Vietnamese food in the country.
For some LA recommendations, I would say Layla bagels or Courage bagels for breakfast (the line moves a lot faster at Layla though) If you’re looking for a more brunchy vibe, Great White Cafe in Venice, their banana bread is 10 / 10. For cafe recommendations, Stereoscope, Community Goods and Memorylook are my faves for a matcha latte. For lunch a sandwich at Ggiata, or a double smash burger with jalapenos at Easy Street or some al pastor tacos at Leo’s. Then if you still have room for dinner, Cassia in Santa Monica is a Southeast Asian and French fusion restaurant that’s really good! You might have tried some of these before, but hopefully at least one of them is a new recommendation lmao 😭
@@CafeMaddy villas tacos won best tacos In Cali , and got a Michelin Bib So I seen ! My next place to try ! But I get it La has so many options when it comes to cuisine
@@hrayyypham I’ve never heard that from anyone lol It’s one of the most popular cuisines in the world … look at every chef in the world They always go there to look for ideas or techniques, Do you hate on Mexico ? In-N-Out: cheese burger, animal style, extra lettuce & tomatoes, whole grilled onion, Raw onion. Yes, lots of veggies- we Koreans love good burger. Also, you can ask for sliced yellow spicy pepper either on the burger or on the side.
Sorry about your tum, but glad it was at the end 😅... will look out for the gentler food vid, but would eat spicy, pickled veggies every day, if only i could! 🤤🌶
