Adding Jessie to the crew has really bumped the channel back up. This episode really reminds me of the oldschool 4wd action videos that got me into this channel and having Pete along for the drive is even better. He's a humble wheeler with plenty of skills that shows you that you don't need all the bells and whistles to get out and have fun. Great episode guys and can't wait to see the ones that follow.

To the 4WD 247 team. This was an epic EPIC trip. The commitment to get through the switchback towards the end of the episode took some very focussed driving that also demonstrated how important it is to have absolute unwavering trust in your mates. When it looks steep on camera IT IS STEEP! One suggestion though with lockers. Wire them up so the front can be turned on leaving the rear diff as an open centre. I have done this in my own fourby, and trust me fellas, for something like this switchback, it is a game changer having locked front wheels that can "tractor" the front end where the front wheels are pointing without a locked rear trying to push straight. Try it once and you'll never go back to the "traditional" paradigm of rear then front. Front locked on its own with an open rear in the right circumstances works brilliantly well.

Shauno breaks Sooty and then hops in with Jesse. Jesse carefully picks a line, Shauno hops out to "guide" him as he doesn't like the line, Jesse explicitly asks "is the tire going to go into the hole if I turn left". No says Shauno. Turns left per Shauno's direction, tire goes right into hole, and boom....broken cv joint. hahahaha Love watching these videos!! Cheers

    Hello folks from 4WD 24-7.
Thanks for the amazing and inspiring shows on your channel. Here in Austria 4WDing is not so commen and there are only few clubs with their own tracks, going really offroad is not possible anywhere. Inspired by your show I took my standard 2019 Ford Ranger Wildtrack for a one day offroad training course at one of these clubs.
After having followed your channel for quite a while and listening to your driving tips I found the theoretical part of the course quite interesting but it did not bring a lot of new stuff for me. Your advices regarding picking the right lines and tire pressures as well as wheel placement furthermore helped a lot during the practical driving part of the training. Having seen Graham picking his perfect lines in the D-Max so often on videos really helped me picking my lines right on the first attempt at most of the obstacles with my Ranger (I have some experiance in driving mountain roads in the Alps in deep snow, so I am used to controlling the throttle carefully and keep up momentum). We did some rock-steps, a few steep climbs and decents in sand and in mud and I really enjoyed my day - will do that more often.
A cooking tip for Shauno at the campfire:
get a whole chicken and season it on the inside with salt, pepper and a little darlic, rub the outside in salt.
Put a fresh apple inside the chicken and and pack the whole chicken in an about two to three centimeters thick layer of mud (would like to try that with Tassie mud one day)
put the whole load into the fire for about an hour
out of the fire crack open the now hardened mud and enjoy the outcome
Many thanks again for hours of good and informative entertinment and thank you for bringing me into offroading.
    Leo from Austria

Trout is related to salmon. as long as you give the outside, a good wash before cutting up and the water you’re fishing in is not known for parasites, You should be safe. That being said, I’ve never eatin’ it anyway other way than fried in butter with a little salt and pepper.(goes well with a white wine sauce.)

Sean it happens. I'm on my 2nd engine in my rig. When we rebuilt the 1st time we didn't realize that 1 of the barons was a little tighter than the rest. On the crank shift. Ended up doing the same thing not enough oil went there and smoked the engine.
