Very complicated model and high price infrastructure also if it counts city ride as pay per ride mode then no use of it, as well obu will have to purchase separately for old cars which are not convenient for old car owner

Satellite based system has major issue such as PRIVACY CONCERN.
Another major advantage road maintenance also become easy as olny the part that is used the most could be repaired.The most important part they have actual data of the required repair part hence their could not be over budgeting of the secetion
They can add extra lanes on the busy section of the routes.

If my OBU is connected to satellite then anyone (including govt.) can track me anytime. How will it follow right to privacy?

What i am assuming is that the technology will divide the road into segments installing cameras at each segment. The deciding length of these segments is now upto govt. If we consider a segment of 5 kms then each segment will have its toll rate. But if someone runs for 6 odd kms the gps would decide based on image captured on the last camera installed at 5 kms segment and thus toll would be collected for next complete segment as the next camera would be at 10 kms. Is this the case?
Following are the questions regarding the satelite based toll detection.
- What if someone else used my number plate (while travelling on highways only)?
- A driver can drive closely to other's car to hide his number plate.
- Wrong number detection, how it will be resolved? (someone else would get the toll payment notification)
- What if the person has not allocated minimum balance? Who would stop him/her to travel on the highway?

now use this to make a system to automatically fine anyone who is overspeeding and most importantly, not following traffic lights.

these things are not followed properly. this 10 sec rule is- if i am at toll plaza and if it takes more than 10 secs for toll gate to open, then only it will be reimbursed.. u should hv mentioned this point to avoid any confusion.

In all samruddhi mahamarg toll collection happens on the baises of total distance travelled only. And their is bo wait time.
What government need to do is put strict functionality to have automation system that will sense traffic jam at toll and open the toll gate by default and put panelty on toll plaza for creating problem to computers and Loss of toll. Post that they should look into new technology

I have certain things to discuss
1. What is the need of Road tax payment which we are doing while buying a new vehicle?
2. If really someone want to implement tolled roads, then they should be defined road from scratch and not furnishing the government put roads and place a toll collector on it and say if you want to take this route then pay money. This is not the correct thing to do.
3. Privacy is a major concern as every vehicle will be tracked.
4. Why 2 wheelers are not allowed in these roads, not even a proper supply road will be provided.

1. agar vo bande ke bank account me paise nahi honge toh uss case me kya hoga ?
2. agar koi mechanic hoga usse toh OBC device ke baareme pata hoga agar usse kuch kar diya false location ke liye tab kya hoga ?

Instead Govt should charge extra lump sum amount for each vehicle at the time of purchase. Example A 1200 to 1500 cc car would not travel too much on average annual toll tax would be around Rs 5000 for 15 years life of car the total cost would be 75,000. Govt should charge this amount at the time of purchase of car and deposit separately in toll plaza account and earn 7% interest on this amount.
If car breakdown or goes into accident, billing continues? Technology is not comforting to some, especially elderly! Everyone can’t be forced into this setup

Dahisar toll plaza Mumbai- even if the line is few kms or waiting for 30 mins or more, then too, the toll is deducted.
These all are scams especially in MEP tolls (Mumbai Entry points)

Already Road taxes are very high in most of the states. Double taxes are violation of constitution. Collections are much more but distribution of money among contractors and politicians are more. Either collect toll and abolish road taxes or abolish tolls
Earlier days road tax was charged when new vehicle was purchased. Now, to avoid legal hurdle, that road tax is renamed as registration tax. Therefore govts have already made a way to steer clear of double taxation litigation

What is someone misuses car location by tracking it through GPS cause in current scenario it's not GPS based? Vehicle Privacy getting hindered
Cost of these OBU units will not be affordable like FASTtag system. In new cars this system can be added in over cost of vehicle what about cars those are already on road
OBU unit requires powers in order to operate. What if someone disconnected the unit from vehicle power terminal how's the toll collected in that case
What if I'm just travelling nearby the toll road but didn't used the toll road. GPS based system have much such issue which put a big question mark to it's reliability?
