  • In this video, I've explained the entire modus operandi of how Employees accumulate black money and then get caught by the tax department. The intention is to communicate the reason why Salaried Employees also fall under the scrutiny and constant vigilance of the Income Tax Department.

    Some people seem to have this confusion that if employee received 70 Lacs after deduction of TDS, how is he donating 87 lacs? The answer is that you don’t have to donate from current year’s salary to get a deduction, you can donate from past savings too.
    Our ancestors have lived their life with the "dekhi jayegi" principle. In today's times of faceless assessments when no "jugaad" works, tax evasion comes at a very high cost. I'd any day recommend earning less but peaceful white money than earning truckloads of black money with constant fear of being caught. Happy learning ❤️

    at times, people attempt to evade tax because because they are not incentivized to do so.
    lack of incentives to pay taxes simply fail to encourage people because they don't get their money's worth.
    An honest citizen paying tax still has to bear the burden of extremely high healthcare costs, education costs, unsafe dangerous roads, unsatisfactory safety arrangements, high indirect taxes and so many more things.

    Excellent Analysis. The sad part is that the government is cheating it's citizens by taxation. We have one income and pay income tax. But later on the same income, post tax, we also pay multiple taxes on goods, petrol, etc. So imagine. One income but multiple taxes on the same income 😀

    I really like your way of presenting a relatively dry subject in such a entertaining way. I work as a Treasury Officer and I come across so many ridiculously outlandish exemption claims at the time of TDS.
    Anyways, I am not an expert but what I feel is the whole idea of tax evasion germinates from the high tax rate and narrow tax base. Instead of high tax rate, the government should preferably try to expand the tax base at moderate tax rate. That will encourage more people voluntarily without the whole drama of cat and mouse. Just a thought.

    • @kgarodiya
      @kgarodiya 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The concept of wider tax base is more applicable towards Indirect Taxes, which cover almost every transaction in every sphere of life. Income Tax is a tax which is necessarily levied on the wealthy to prevent large accumulation of wealth because the propensity of a person with higher income to spend his income in consumption is much lower compared to a person with lower income.
      Essentially if this wealth is accumulated in the hands of a wealthy person it stops circulating in the economy, unless they themselves reinvest it (which is the concept of CSR). The model of governance in economic terms would be successful if the governement is able to ensure that there is very little money tied up in non productive savings and maximum money is being re-invested or consumed in the market. Direct Tax is being levied primarily so that they can tax that money and then through Government expenditure bring it back to the economy.

    • @kgarodiya
      @kgarodiya 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RahulSarode Wealth Tax is a way to bring already accumulated wealth back into circulation, whereas Income Tax is a way for the prevention of that accumulation in the first place by taxing the income as it arose before it becomes wealth.
      Also, India removed the Wealth Tax as replaced it with Surcharge - so Income Tax in our country operates on very similar principles anyways to a wealth tax.

    Sir, I have one question related to tax. Since I have just started earning I am facing this big scam of government
    Whenever I get my salary, a flat percentage of TDs and tax is cut on that. Now I got my finally after paying tax to govt. So ideally my remaining money should be spent by me without any tax, right!
    But whenever I eat or bought anything, I again have to pay tax in form of gst, which is like a double tax on my salary.
    So don't you think it's like a govt playing double tax game on salaried person or am I missing some point.
    Please let me know ur point of view

      Hi prateeek
      I AM A CA FINALIST, THERE ARE TWO TYPE OF TAXES , DIRECT TAX AND INDIRECT TAX , THE MONEY YOU EARNED AND GIVE TAXES TO GOVERNMENT IS TAX ON INCOME THAT IS INCOME TAX AND GST IS A CONSUMPTION BASED TAX , HOPE U GOT IT

    • @rajabhishek777
      @rajabhishek777 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      You are exactly right. Salaried persons are the biggest victims of this scam called 'taxation' by the government thugs.

    • @bostonlights2749
      @bostonlights2749 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      I understand your point....The double taxation part hits hard for the salaried.
      One proposal can be that for goverment link that income to some sort of identification ( i.e pan) and whenever the person purchases some big ticket item then certain amount of tax can be rebated ( from the tax is already paid by showing pan)
      Current Problem is that the government has no incentive to do so unless the people protest, and the salaried class rarely has time to protest

      80ggc main 100% hi deduction hai sahi se dekho
      Aur 1crore ki income main 70lac hi mila hai usko kyunki 30%tds kat gaya hai aur 87lac ka donation 57 lac current income aur 30 usne previous income se diya hai
      Aur 13 lac current taxable income bataya hai
      84lac return hone par uske income 84-30 =54 current year ki hogi kyunki 30 uske previous ka hoga aur
      28 lac tds se return hoga aur 13lac jo white money hai usme se
      Aur jo 2 lac tax bataya hai sir woh computation hai tax to pehli tds ke through kat chuka hai
      Uske pass ki saving 54 donation return +28 tds return +13 white money = 95 lac hua
      2 lac tax ke aur 3(87-84) lac actual party ko donation de ke kate

    very good insightful video. Just one correction i felt that needs to be there in your example. In your example, if the employee had income of 1cr and the company had deducted the TDS of 30%, then the employee would have received only 70 Lacs in hand, out of which he will make some donation. How can this donation be 80 Lacs then if the income received in hand was 70 Lacs? 🙂

      a company deducts tax based on your investment proposed at start of year. In jan feb of every year it asks for proof of your proposed investments. If you don't give proofs then they can deduct total tax as applicable but if you show the receipt of donation as in this case , then they will deduct tax only on the remaining 13 lakhs.
