      Very cool that Louis and I watch a lot of the same channels. Do you have a list of your favorites? I want to see if I'm missing any of the good ones.

    I've used the Arduino platform only for a few projects, which were all very fun to complete. In recent times I haven't done much with my Arduino, so this series should be pretty interesting for me.

    the wire you showed for the 9V battery, it is there to give power to the servo, not the arduino ;) at least for the given projects in the book (and yes you could also run the board off the 9 V battery)

    you might wana check Arduino MKR1000 if you want to go iot with arduino, it has extra built in features specifically for iot projects. I haven't tried it personally though.

    Hi Eli, With your expert knowledge in networking and now with Arduino, can I suggest a project that you can create a video tutorial with?
    Basically I am talking about the Wifi vendo machine using Arduino connected to a Mikrotik router. The Arduino will control the hotspot password generation with a single button click and displays the value in a small LCD.

    You should try an ESP8266 based board. It uses the Arduino IDE and has built in WiFi. The best part is the price , 3$ from China.

    Could you do raspberry pi videos?

    • @brandonbahret5632
      @brandonbahret5632 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In short I guess the answer is something like "if he has to, he will."
      That seems like a natural progression. The arduino platform essentially boils down to a microcontroller. If you want to do something that requires a lot of computation you'll want to try out a platform like the Raspberry Pi for its microprocessor.
      Arduino is faster when it comes to switching IO pin states. Raspberry Pi is faster when it comes to doing large network requests, and computation in general. I am guessing if he wants to teach IoT concepts better suited for a smarter board, then he would find something more suitable.

    The reason about dislike is that i was expecting for more in depth components unboxing not only simple talk. Extra to that what the book is actually content? some extra information required.

    raspberry pi is a bit better as arduino has no native rtc and you end up paying more for less. i find node mcu are better than arduinos as they even have wifi on board.

      It's overpriced but i need the USB output capability that only the Teensy has (let it work as a HID keyboard/mouse)
